I am wondering if I can hook the gas pump up with the "Mind the Gap Girl." - cause for more beer drinking.

Howdy BA’s. I’m a little bummed to hear the Mongoose died Monday. I grew up watching Tom McEwen and The Snake Don Prudhomme battle. Cheers to the Mongoose.

Ok, time to put an end to the Caps season and use the occasion as an excuse to do this mini-vertical:

One of my first BBA beers, and one of my early favorites. The older (just under 3 years, is I think the vintage I sent @WesMantooth to make up for Higher Math) I got the last case of, but decided to give 6 away (pre-purchase) to another guy at the taproom that was enjoying it on tap.

The newer I lucked into being in Williamsburg on release day, which I was unaware of when we stopped by after enduring one of those timeshare pitches all AM. Nice recovery from the day’s start.

The newer is sweeter and has a little tang from the sugar/bourbon mix. The older is a little deeper, with less of a high note. More dark, lightly sweetened chocolate. I think I’ll try to let last year's remaining bottles age until winter time at least. Aged wins this round, in a minor upset.

This is really good. Solid head retention and minimal lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of tomato juice, lime, salt, garlic, onion, celery, chile peppers, peppercorn, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce; with lighter notes of cracker/bready malts and herbal spice earthiness. Very mild herbal bitterness and pepper spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body. Creamy tomato and grainy malt body; with slight sticky spiciness. Slightly increasing spicy dryness. No cloying. Very drinkable and pretty refreshing, 4.1%. Slightly increasing lingering pepper spice heat after the finish. I liked this a lot more than the Modelo, which felt too heavy on the tomato juice. This was very balanced between all flavors, with nice pale lager presence. Not overdone on spices. Second pour was more murky than the first, but still really enjoyed it. Was never a big fan of Bloody mary's, but I am starting to really enjoy these. 3.75

Awesome fruit IPA. Great head retention and soapy lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, lemon, lime, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, melon, berry, citrus peel/zest/rind, and light pepper/pine hops; with moderate vanilla, cracker, biscuit, light honeyed malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness; and light fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; balanced creamy/bready/grainy malt/lactose and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Light resins/rinds, light-moderate increasing dryness, no hop/fruit astringency. Very drinkable, not overly aggressive, minimal warming 7.8%. Very vibrant, juicy, and fairly dank hops/fruit; nice bready oats/lactose backbone, with minimal residual sweetness from lingering dryness. Feels like they went with Simcoe hops for this one, works great with the fruit. 4.1
