Will be up in Burlington for about 4 days in about 2 weeks for a work conference. Looking for advice on any taprooms, bottle shops, or anything else beer related that is worth checking out within reasonable walking distance of the DoubleTree on Williston Rd.

    Thanks!

That hotel is 2 miles from downtown where all the beer action is. Is basically the typical "Strip" that every town has - hotels, chain retail, fast food. Luckily, it runs a shuttle down the hill into downtown. Tons of threads here on Burlington offerings - use keyword Burlington to search.

Uber to the Farmhouse restaurant, they have alot of the beers you'd want to try on tap.

Foam is my favorite spot while in Burlington, great spot to sit around and have a few brews.

Farmhouse as mentioned above is great for beer and food.

    Other breweries:
    Burlington Beer Co
    Fiddlehead (Shelburne, close)
    Simple Roots
    Zero Gravity
Four Quarters (my second favorite stop)

    Tons of other stuff too!

If you want a dive bar/pizza kind of night (my default kind of night), Manhattans is the place. Always HF on draft with a pretty big rotating local selection

Foam needs to be #1 on your list!

    Take an Uber to:
    1.Foam (best atmosphere and beers)
    2. Manhattan's pizza (solid beer list and good/creative pizzas)
    3. The Archives (best beer list I came across, arcade bar)
    4. Farmhouse (menu is a bit odd and pricey but the beer list is pretty solid)

How do you all feel about Artsriot? I was planning on going to Farmhouse for the burger next week but the 400 burger at artsriot looks spectacular.

ArtsRiot is an awesome spot with killer food and solid beer options. Catch it on a Friday for Truck Stop or make sure to roll down Pine Street to Zero Gravity for a pour. You won't be bummed.

If it's nice out, I actually like doing a little taproom stroll up Pine Street. Start at Switchback, where the beer is dirt cheap and much better than I think people give them credit for, and then turn the corner onto Pine Street and hit Zero Gravity and Queen City (literally across the street from each other). Then walk about a mile up the street to Citizen Cider. Catch you breath there, enjoy a cider, then walk to Foam. Each leg is about a 15 minute walk. Once you're at Foam, you're only a few minutes from downtown to get to Flatbread, Farmhouse, Manhattan Pizza (awesome spot for food/beer/music). You will have to Uber in and out of town, but Uber up there is quick and cheap.

We get in from Montreal on Friday so this might be what we do after Foam. Thanks!

For bottles and cans healthy living is a short walk down Dorset street. They always have some fresh local options

I always love reading that "Healthy Living" is a good craft beer shop! :-)

The Guild Tavern is within walking distance of your location. They're part of the same restaurant group as the Farmhouse in downtown Burlington. They always seem to have Hill Farmstead and 5-6 other decent draft options. The food is decent steakhouse/pub fare. Cheese Traders will have decent beer options and they're a closer walk than Healthy Living, but Healthy Living will have a wider selection. You'll also be within walking distance of Al's French Fry. They don't have beer, but they're worth hitting up for dinner one night. Other than that you'll probably want to head into downtown Burlington as others have said.

IMO the Farmhouse burger is overrated, especially for the $. ArtsRiot definitely won’t have the same level of taps that Farmhouse has though. Going to ArtsRiot on Friday is cool for more of a food truck/outside experience. Mule bar in Winooski has a solid draft list and tasty mini burger. Consensus best burger is at Shopping Bag but it is definitely not a sit down and have a beer kinda spot.

Really like the spot. I think they have had live music every I've been there which is great too. Hadn't been in over a year and back then they only had 2-3 beers on tap if I remember correctly. Limped over there on Memorial Day for marathon recovery and the on tap menu was literally 7 different double IPAs and one other beer (Super Unison). Is this the normal "variety" or did I just hit it at a weird time?

Usually In addition to at least 4 DIPAs, there is a fouder beer, a HoF Dot, and last week their was a kellerbier on as well.

They do a lot of doubles. What I like is you can do half pours, and they'll even hook you up with a couple of samples. So I was able to try the entire lineup last time, and still able to walk out the door without stumbling.

I play in a fantasy baseball league with George, who runs the kitchen at Arts Riot. He's a very talented chef. That said, Friday food trucks, absolutely bonkers the amount of people there, I'd go literally any other time instead.

Barnyard has a decent tap list and reasonable food. Upper Deck is a viable option too.

Don't sleep on Burlington Beer Co and Farnham breweries: at 4 and 3 miles respectively, they'd be a hike, but both are cranking out very tasty beer.
