obviously, that's exactly what OH wants. They get to hate us in two different locations. I'll probably tip more when I'm out of town too.

How would this affect production in Brooklyn though? That's all I care about

I recently relocated to BK from DC and can say that the area is woefully supplied with NEIPA options (Aslin, Bluejacket, Right Proper, Three Stars + whatever comes in through distro). Moreover, IMO, the DMV beer scene overall is relatively pitiful, so, economically, I suppose this move makes sense.

My folks stay in Northern VA, so I'm intrigued to follow the progression of this. Anyone talk to a reputable source yet?

Edit: "woefully" used to indicate that very few of these breweries make this style well.

If that includes the same perk as regular tickets, of being allowed to buy their merch, then I think that’s very reasonable

I am kind of disgusted about the $50 designated driver ticket.

Someone would be willing to stand around at a beer fest, put up with pushy wasted dudes, and not drink at all for hours for the sole purpose of getting someone home so they don't kill themselves or some random driver/pedestrian, and you're trying to take $50 off them?

Does it come with a BJ?

And I disagree about the lack on great NEIPA's in the DC area. Aslin produces three or four great ones per week. That's plenty to choose from.

Yeah I agree. Also I’m kind of unsure why the DD ticket is even a thing? I get it at somewhere like HF which has done that for some of its events in the past - but that place is beyon rural. In NYC though - between subways, taxis, ubers, buses and trains etc - is it really required? And even if someone is driving them - there’s other shit to do instead of hang around watching drunk people

I’m not defending OH here but the last beer fest I went to, NYC Beer Week Opening Bash had a similarly priced DD ticket. I was shocked as well but they might just be going off of recent pricing.
