Greetings BAs. Took the day off to try and get some vehicles registered, only 11 months tardy on that. Having said that it was much easier to just renew them in Oklahoma. Got 2 out of 3 done; could not find my title release on my truck which was paid off about 8 years ago:grimacing: 2out of 3 aint bad. Son#2 made the league all-star team, but was complaining of arm pain when throwing after 10 days rest, not good...

Delicious Black IPA. Awesome head retention and thick lacing on the glass. Flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, citrus peel/rind, light pepper, and pine hops; with balanced dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, nutty, toasted dark bread, and light smoke/char malts; with some herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Similar/muted aromas. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, grassy, spicy hop; and roast/char bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; balanced creamy/bready/grainy malt, sticky/resinous/rindy hops, and light chalky roast in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing hop/char bitter dryness; minimal acrid/astringent flavors. Very smooth, not overly aggressive, 6.7%. Really well done for the style. Very dank and vibrant hops; with great balance of roasted/bready malts. Feels like Columbus and Centennial hops. Really enjoyed this. Contract brewed at Brew Detroit I believe, can't find any info about the actual brewery on the label called Eastside(?) 3.91

I was a big fan of Crime, so here we go! 2015 vintage. This was excellent! Impossible to remove Stone corks as usual. Wine key did the trick. Awesome head retention and soapy lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big caramel, brown sugar, toffee, chile/jalapeno peppers, pepper skins, raisin, orange, citrus peel, vanilla, bourbon, toasted oak, and brown bread; with light molasses, smoke, and herbal pepper earthiness. Light-moderate pepper spiciness, and light pine/citrus peel bitterness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and medium-full body; very creamy/bready malts, some sticky hops/spice, and light slickness in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing lingering pepper spice dryness. No cloying sweetness. Light-moderate increasing heat after the finish. Not much barrel booze or alcohol warmth. As a person that goes through over a liter of hot sauce a month, this was very easy drinking. I was definitely a fan. Very smooth for the ABV; and really not overly spicy from the sizable malt backbone. Age probably mellowed it out though. Nicely balanced between the base beer, bourbon barrels, and mix of pepper varieties. Wish I could have tried it fresh, to get more hop character overall. 4

Pours a somewhat hazy, murky darker golden color. The head is quite thick, 4 finger, slightly off white, frothy, with good retention, and some nice lacing on the glass.
The nose is malty, with a hint of citrus from the hops.
Taste - is mellow, and malty up front. On the backside a bit of hops kick in with a nice citrus finish.
Decent body, and a nice hop finish that does linger for a bit.
Delicious, and tasty. A great beer from Montgomery.
