Had this for a few months now, might as well drink it. Roasty with a swift kick to the gizzard. Not alcoholic tasting at all but there is an extremely bitter burnt coffee taste. Yum. Cheers folks!
Sea Shanty to go with the brew!

Took the day off for a field trip to the petting zoo for my sons preschool.
    Summer break and what not.

Finishing off the last of these...

Has alittle over 2yrs of age on it.
Any type of coffe flavor has dissapeared.
Straight up stout and burnt malt.
    Still some nice carbonation tho.

Actually spiced things up with a coffee liqour shot. Just to add what was missing :wink:

Splitting this with the wife. This is Tulsi Blue by Plan Bee out of New York. Nice tart blueberry flavor with some funk. Holy basil is noted but not overpowering- more herbal. Oak presence is dominating the flavor though, too much so at least in my opinion. Cheers all!

As the can says, 100% Citra hops.

This is drinking mighty fine, and is the best batch they've made in years!

Planning to enjoy this last day off. Hope you're all enjoying today too!
This is super fresh compared to what I usually find from DFH around here. the photo quality isn't so fresh here though

My first proper Milkshake IPA was quite an interesting experience. I poured this very carefully at first, having read about floaters in the reviews here, which resulted in what I first perceived to be nothing but your average NEIPA.

However, the final pour was quite milky and thick (no particulates), transforming the entire beer and really giving it that thick, creamy mouthfeel you would associate with a Milkshake IPA. Quite a bit of hop burn in the aftertaste as well, which I personally enjoy. Probably not very typical for the style though.

Probably a good idea to shake this lightly before pouring, actually.

(not the entire final pour, I already drank quite a bit before taking the picture)

    Cornet Oaked.
Not oaked like on casks, but chips of oak were added during the brewing process. Nice heavy Belgian blonde.

Like ‘Hazy’ also ‘Oak’ is still one of those marketing key-words around here. No non-oaked Cornet to be found for some time :slight_frown:

    Cheers!
