The kegger of whatever set up at the end of a 2 week Ft.Bragg experience.
Our unit was a support outfit. HQ. Which included me. A 13F forward Observer.
At the end of the 2 weeks, we all reassembled from all the different units we supported during training.
Well the 1st Sgt had a 1/2 keg of whatever waiting at the assembly area. And man that was good Bud Lite!
Left the NG soon after that. But that was a great memory.

One of my favorite college events was always "Beer of the Month". It would just be six of us (expanded there towards the end), and everyone would bring a six pack. We'd each drink the same beer at the same time, until we worked our way through all six of the six packs. Sometimes it got a little wild after that, especially when people were jerks and brought double-digit ABV beers (which I may, or may not have done on a few occasions).

One of the most mind-numbingly boring chores you will ever encounter takes on a whole new dimension when you slip an IPA and a #proper drinking vessel into your laundry basket, then pour, photograph, and drink said beer without being caught running afoul of your state's open-container ordinances. I give you what I believe might have been WBAYDN's first laundromat beer:

Sitting on the front stoop with your wife after a tough day.

First beer while you unpack the car at the vacation house

Getting off the fishing boat after a day at sea and having a beer. We don't drink on my buddies boat and I'm good with that.

Getting to hang out with long time friends you have not seen in a long time.

    Enjoy

The laundromat I use is in the same plaza as Whole Foods. I slide over there for pizza and pints whilst washing.

The sneaky public drinking beer comes to mind with these laundromat shout outs. i do love to put a good beer in a coffee appropriate looking cup and stroll around a public event that doesn't serve beer. so lovely. can't wait till we in the US catch up with the idea that drinking beer outside isn't dangerous

Ok, so these aren’t exactly ‘underrated’ beer experiences, rather than simple experiences, but ima post them anyway because I don’t want to go to sleep just yet.
Check out this monster I bought in Paris!:

Crushed it warm on the train to Switzerland (holy shit, look at Raul’s hair!):

Then on our way out of Switzerland, this nice old man bought my brother and I all of our beer!:

View of the bar (come on Raul! A blurry picture)? I wish I could see those beers clearly so that I could look them up:

Later I found myself in Munich where this magical moment happened:

And that night, I had the best drunk food ever (the pork crackled on every bite):

Our last stop was in Bruges, Belgium where I obviously drank my fair share (only beer pic I have):

We hardly left our hostel bar:

And lastly, meeting new friends (I wonder if either of these fine lads is on BA? Nah.) I think I’m drinking a Jupiter here:

When I was a kid and the family went skiing, we would always take a break around 2pm at a lodge. My dad would always eat a chocolate fudge brownie with a beer. I've tried it as an adult and it's a perfect beer experience.

Underrated beer experience since it was never listed would be chugging a beer right after yard work or mowing the lawn....

Most memorable experience I had was being out to sea (Navy), first port call and there was a local at the dock who had coolers of El Presidente.

Other favorite experiences include a beer after a 5K race (maybe a 10K this summer).
Any beer during time spent with friends.
First beer during the start of football season.

Session beers by (and in) the pool while reading a good book and watching the kids play. This is something I try to repeat every weekend during the summer. Check out WBAYDN later today and see if I succeed!

Shower beers after a long day. Seriously if you have t had a beer in the shower get on that, anything light and refreshing will work.

I was on the job at a client's home. We were in the basement and I was finishing up. He was an older fellow, WWII age. He went to the fridge and got a can of Milwaukee Best and told me he did not like drinking alone so he gave me one. Turns out he was a veteran of Normandy, riding in on one of the first waves. The beer was, well, you know. But listening to his stories of the invasion was amazing.

The post-marathon drunken indulgence. I come home barely able to walk, fill my Paulaner 1L dimpled mug with 3 bottles of Paulaner Marzen and continue drinking all day. When you kill your body that much it requires so many beers to get back to life.

For me, there is NOTHING that compares to the post-deployment beer. Getting home safely to my family, smelling a home-cooked meal, and really decompressing with a cold one... PERFECT!!!

The beer scene in PEI surprised me. Had fun at the Gahan house pub. And the French fries for those in the know.

-A beer after a long hike is always really nice
-Celebratory beers, such as after getting a raise
-7:30am beers during football season in college - miss those

Anything that would qualify as a "go figure" experience . Could be the place, the beers, or just the circumstance. The Country Inn in Krumville NY, Cox BC, in Elizabethtown PA, or even Friendly Greek in Lancaster PA are all great for this category. I guess, if it's unexpected, in a good way, that's very underrated for me.

I can't think of an underrated beer experience because every good beer experience is a good experience.
