Yes I've always thought that the biggest problem in the beer world is breweries being responsive to their customers' requests. /s :rolling_eyes::rolling_eyes:

All kidding aside, I truly believe that breweries pandering to the vocal minority, particularly in instances such as these, only make the beer scene worse. Same deal with breweries intentionally crafting hype to generate lines and drive up trade/secondary value. By bending over backwards, making special exceptions, etc, breweries are shooting themselves in the foot because there will always be whiny ***** out there demanding more and more more. If you keep giving in, it will only get worse.

What part of Neil freely and generously acknowledging above he changed the window to live up to his original 6 month representation didn’t you understand? Stop creating drama where there is none.

Yeah, I mean I understand what you're saying.... but Neil admits in his original email that it would be a 6 month window. Someone spoke out about it (maybe not in the best way). Neil realized he did assure a 6 month window and adjusted to honor that.

I mean if your boss told you, you were getting a 6% raise and then only gave you 3% would you say something or just shrug?

I'm simply voicing an opinion, much the same way you did when bitching about the pick-up window. I also understand it perfectly fine, I just don't agree with it. Neil made it clear the six month window was proposed to include GABF, which it still would have. You got your panties in a bunch despite numerous offers to proxy for you, and now you get your way. Shut and be happy, you're comfortably part of the problem as it is.

    Heading in a new direction...

Who's going to be at the WW Invitational on Saturday? More importantly, which beers being poured are you most excited about?

Coming in from IL so the beers from Mikerphone and More are high on my list. Voodoo will be new to me and who can pass up all the medianoche variants?

Kind of weird that I had the same thought. I'm going all the way to Colorado for a fest and one of my first stops is a 20 minute drive from home. More is bringing some heat though.

Hard to pass on Fundamental Brewers Reserve, Assassin, BAA, and all them Noches though.

Man I was supporting you in general before, but dude calm down.....
I retract my previous arguments, they were more arguing a point and not standing by the berating you're getting now

    :beers: Less angry, more beer!

BA French Toast from Angry Chair, Everything More is bringing, FO Reserve, all of the Horus beers, DDG from LA, BA ISLBS from Miker, both Monsters Park, BAA, Assassin, everything from Voodoo and Vanilla Pseudonym from Wiley.

Some of those I’ve had before but definitely want to drink them again. Also, WW announced there will be 6 new 4 packs and 3 new bottles available to go starting Friday. First 2 four packs announced were Brownie Batter Stout and DDH Juicy Bits. Getting pretty pumped for this weekend.

Basically it looks like Weldfest is gonna be the end-all-be-all for festivals this year, with pour lists not only rivaling, but crushing What the Funk?! and Denver Rare Beer. I think it's an awesome model and really makes the high-dollar price of admission worthwhile.

One thing I would personally love to see in a fest like this though is the inclusion of a token for a full (5oz) pour. Set some rules like it has to be used by the holder (non-transferable so it's truly 1pp) and maybe it has to go within the first or last hour of the fest, but it could be really cool.

To say that the invitational crushes Rare Beer is hyperbole to say the least... never been to WTF, so I can’t comment there.

I just have a hard time believing people leaving DRB saying “what a bummer compared to WWI”. Maybe we’re being trolled though :stuck_out_tongue:

No hyperbole, I meant that very sincerely. I have been to WtF and Rare Beer and I think the pour list for WWI is superior. I also think the model for the event is better than both. I don't know why so many people instantly assume it's a troll when you simply don't agree with it.

That's the American way. "I believe x y and z, and if anyone thinks different they HAVE to be full of shit and fucking with me, because x y and z blow a b and c away so hard".
