For sure! Well, that and the FIBs that invade WI during beer releases (and probably every nearby state for that matter).

But at least here you expect to encounter them.

Not all older guys are crusty, but there's definitely a handful of em out there. You're only as old as you feel though, sounds like you are doing it right.

And some of us younger guys are crusty. I'm only 34 and I've been a grouch-ass for a decade or longer.

I absolutely have gotten more riled up than I needed to be about this one in particular after a few drinks lol.

Not to anyone I didn't know obviously, the prior rapport and booze allow friends to speak freely on when we feel like the other is dropping the ball, and I fucking hate country music.

But to spout off on any of these things to someone you don't know IRL takes a special kind of intrusiveness and investment in other people and to be honest, I just reaaaaaaally don't care about what person x two seats down the bar is drinking, nor do I care what they're going home to watch.

It's not even a "respect difference of opinion" thing, it's just indifference. They didn't ask and I don't feel compelled to tell, even if I think it's gross/dumb/whatever.

But on the internet on a specialty forum that's relatively niche I think there's more of a space carved out for criticism among strangers. It's kind of what we're here for.

Opinions on snobbery of any type is inevitably interesting. It is a treasure trove of comic fodder, and a genuine window into the character of people.

That's okay, not all beer drinkers like their beer to taste more like beer than water. Nothing wrong with that.

Seriously though, I agree, people who act superior because of their beer taste suck. Don't let that ruin the beer they like for you. Don't spite-drink macros just to show those craft beer snobs.

Bars that don't serve the macros in addition to craft options are accomplishing nothing but losing money.

Honestly, I work for a coffee roaster/manufacturer, and I feel like we need to hire you for marketing.

Lack of a man bun usually starts arguments

Grow the beard and hair and tie them both

Heed the advice and it'll get easier for you!
