Olde Hickory Appalachian Walker

Has anyone heard if this is going to any other stores in NC?

 

Do not know about this time around, but last time both Tasty and State of Beer got a case of it in Raleigh. Went very quickly, and I think there has been a lot more (well deserved) hype for this batch.

 

Don't know about this go-round, but Bestway in GSO got a few bottles last year.

 

Was told today by two different bottle shops in Charlotte that their reps told them it was not hitting distro.

 

Another small amount hit App Vintner AVL Tuesday. Don't know if any is hanging around or not.

 

Is this still at the brewery or elsewhere?

 

Ran out at the brewery before it did at App Vintner. App Vintner ran out on Friday night, and then got resupplied last Tuesday. Last I heard (last Thursday I believe) it was still there, but no idea if it still is or not.

 

Yep, we still have a small amount. 2 bottle limit. Maybe 3 cases left. Will be releasing more this coming Monday, 10 cases or so, and will have App. Walker on draught as well as releasing some Olde Hick sours.

 

Y'all keep sleeping on this beer, and I'll keep drinking it all.

'18 dropped monday at the station and it is deeeeeeeeeeeeelisssssshisssss.

And you should also sleep on the Wheat Wine too. It's peerless. If anybody can point me in the direction of anything that is as complex as that beer, please feel free to pass me that info.

 

I drove to the station Tuesday to pick up some bottles for myself and some friends. I was shocked to see so many good beers sitting on the shelves there. Olde Rabbit's Foot is still there, all of Spectrum, and cases of App Walker. Who knows, by the time I open a bottle or two, I might swing back by to grab a few more since their beer seems to hang around these days.

 

It blows my mind. This year's Olde Rabbit's foot may be the best stout ever made in north carolina.

I couldn't make the release. I have two 17's. Anyone up for meeting up this Sunday in Asheville or Morganton to swap a 2017 for a 2018 Appalachian Walker? Normally I would post something up in the IP forum, but thought I would check in with you fine discerning folk first.

 

I freaking love the first batch of app Walker. Last year's was good, but I didn't enjoy the tannic it had. How does this year's compare?

 

-More similar to 16. No red wine barrels this time around. All brandy.

Anyone know if this stuff is still hanging around? Planning on getting there early tomorrow for some App Walker if so..
