Complete sell out by 1:35. All gone. Line was MUCH longer than previous releases.

Yeah, glad I only got there about 15 minutes before it sold out, because that was the slowest moving line in the history of lines, so I'm guessing some people were waiting hours only to get turned down. I swear one person would come out with cans every 90 seconds or so.

They need to move the beer sales to the back. It's pretty lame with people trying to carry out cases of beer/coolers through the doorway with people in line waiting. That slows things up big time.

They do need to speed up the sales and/or not let people buy beer for on site drinking until the line for cans is gone. Having a separate line for cans elsewhere would also be nice. Would be nice if they started limiting numbers each person can buy to allow more people to get some. Allowing a case of each is excessive.

Was the limit a case? I thought they were considering 3 or 4 packs of each, and I assumed they went with 3 when I saw how many people showed. Even a limit of 3 means only 190 people can max out, right? (am I correct in thinking there's six 4 packs/case?)

It was only 3 4pks pp of each. So walking out with a case was a mix of both.

Shit shows like this, or what people are making it sound like at least, make me appreciate Modern Times releases even more.

I've had Pure Project canned IPAs as well as a majority of their beers, from the tap room, and nothing has been good enough to warrant a line like what is being described.

Come on, this wasn't a "shit show".. far from it honestly. They're in an industrial business type park like many other breweries so space is obviously limited. This was by far the longest line they've ever had and many people who have been there before can confirm. The tap room is small, there is only so many POS, there is only so much room for staff to run cans back n forth, take cash, run cards, etc. It's a learning process and I'm sure PP will learn from this. They're gaining more of a following! Just check their Instagram post and you'll see more ISO for their releases. So dont think of it as a shit show, poor planning, etc, it's learning from experience (I hope) and I'm sure PP will be better prepared with enough feedback from buyers.

My buddy is an owner at Biga in SD. Sent me this link for a dinner they are doing with Pure Project on 6/4. Looks tasty. I'll be recovering from FWI, no chance I'll make it. I think there are still a few tickets left for this thing...

Coming from out town, should I expect the worst for the can release tomorrow?

No, there will be a line well before opening, but cans have lasted until 3-4pm the same day.

Now because of that, I no longer wait in line and will casually stroll by, usually with a burrito in hand, sometime after 1pm or so.

So, it use to sell out incredibly fast. When they would start selling at noon, if you weren't there by 10am, you were SOL. Then people realized that the beers coming out were mostly just meh, with really only the triples sparking interest and buzz....so, less ppl lining up early.

The $16/can for the non-BA stouts probably didn't help them much either.

I had their Murkshake Strawberry and their Triple Dry Hyped at Glendale Tap and they were probably some of my favorites. So dangerously drinkable at 10%+

this. the first one that didn't last well into the afternoon when all the line campers had gone was the moonraker collab. maybe there was one or two releases between then and now where lining up was the only way to get cans, but I stopped going because they just weren't that great, IMO.

People only line up to get the maximum so they can trade for other stuff. But yeah I haven't been buying any of their cans for some time. There are better options out there
