We went from Chicago to the twin cities to Milwaukee, Cleveland, Pittsburgh and Cincinnati before returning to Chicago; hitting places like Surly, Corridor, and Goose Island (among others), but hands down the best brewery, by far, not even close, by the widest of margins - like Secretariat in the Belmont - was Braxton in Covington, Kentucky. The locals and staff alike recommended hitting other Cincinnati area breweries, but we couldn’t risk that. Every beer at Braxton was awesome (except the plum saison 4 pack I bought, which was cloying). Great atmosphere and employees, as well.
    Cheers!

Hmmmm. Somehow you missed Michigan!? The result could have been very different.

Haha yes, seven states, but not Michigan. Heard the hepatitis hefe is awesome though.

Did you go to Braxton or Braxton Labs? One is in a liquor store.

Sorry, been busy recovering. We stopped in briefly at mega super liquor mart, but it was dead and seemed less family friendly. I probably should have stayed and tried the various BAIS options there - cause that is what really floats my boat. The brewery location only had one, but it was delish: boozy as heck, just like I like em. And big pours at reasonable prices. Liked it much better than the one I had at goose.
