I don't think anyone is talking about a bubble in the wax...

 

Not bubbles in the wax, liquid SR71 leaking out through the cap and the wax....

There was a bubble in the wax on top of the cap but I was talking about the bulge just below the cap with the pin hole.

 

^^ Yes. The bubble or "bulge" in the wax. I remember this being in several of my MDs and also some of my older assassins I believe. It's nothing new. I can take pics later. The leaking is a different story but in this case I'm just saying I wouldn't get worked up about it, personally.

 

If you wanted to test for CO2 leaking, you could create a pinhole in the wax, like suggested, and then maybe put a balloon over the top of the bottle (if you could get it to seal tightly around the neck). If the balloon inflates, the cap is not sealed.

 

Only a trained marine biologist should attempt such a delicate process on a whale.

How long does it usually take TG to answer their customer service. A friend from Chicago had some leaky wax too. He wasn’t sure if he send an email through the website or tweet them. Cheers

 

Damn. More? That's 5 or 6 bottles I've heard of so far. What's alarming is that it isn't happening right away. Makes me think its a bigger issue.

 

My buddy told me he emailed them through the site but hasn’t heard anything. I guess he emailed Monday and really didn’t want to go the Twitter route. I hope he hears from them, otherwise that’s bad customer service. Dropping a $100 on a bottle and not getting a response.

Anybody that knows anything about an SR-71, knows they leaked when they were on the ground. I say if you got a leaky wax one, then you got an authentic model! Clark upped the game on these bottles.

 

They're higher at the brewery so as not to compete with the local businesses
