What beer are you drinking now? #2077

Bought a 6 pack of this and to my surprise really enjoyed it, best new Stone offering I've had this year! Really smooth double ipa, and for their first commercial shot at the "hazy" ipa I was thoroughly impressed. 4.269/5, will definitely be picking this up again.

Reviewed this one after getting home from work this morning

Pretty good for a "session" IPA, but I still prefer a pilsner for hops while keeping the ABV down.

Now eating dinner with homebrewed rye ale...

Spinach and feta stuffed chicken sausage from Aldi on Hawaiian buns. I've found it easier to sleep all day if I start in a food coma. Cheers all and enjoy what's in your stein today!

Didn't really don't know what to expect with this one and was pleasantly surprised . . .




Beautiful deep red gold color with scant off white cap and lacing.

Aroma of dark toffee with some floral highlights.

Taste is exceptionally smooth, rich dark malt with just a hint of hop bitterness. The malt is definitely roast malt without roasty bitterness. There is a sense of sweetness, due to the rich malt I suppose, but it finishes dry with just enough hops to put a period at the end of the sentence.

Medium texture with balancing carbonation.

Very easy to drink is this one, I had to pace myself because I was drinking faster than I could type the review. This would be a good food beer for just about anything that matches the usual Mexican style amber lagers but this malty little bugger has more flavor than those.

Fly STRIPA. Black IPA from Haand Bryggeriet in Norway.

A dark beer is normally not my first choice on a summer day like we're having now in NW Europe. Also not really a thirst quencher, but it is full of taste. Almost like sipping on some hop-soup.
I'm not an expert on black IPA's (to say the least), but this is the most interesting black IPA I've had so far.

Since it’s pouring in Portland, we decided to do an Industrial Way day. Starting at Allagash with some brewery only releases. L-R is Florette, Nancy and Coolship Red.
