i was actually underwhelmed by Eat Shop. not bad by any means, but wouldn't seek it out again.

very much enjoyed smoking gull though, would buy that in cans in a heartbeat.

Balmoral has more space and taps but I prefer Lincoln for the menu.

Others can correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Balmoral has cans for safe. But they will have more room and they have a beer garden.

Lincoln is infinitely better IMO but Balmoral has more space. They are both good though. Kinda depends what you like. More open space, more room, little quieter = Balmoral
tight, energetic, loud, heart of the city feel = lincoln

To add: Lincoln is smaller, more intimate, menu is focused on creative burritos.
Balmoral is larger in size and more expansive feeling, menu is more like a restaurant with entrees that aren't just amazing burritos. Also, they have an outdoor space.

    My opinion: eat the burritos

Ended up at Balmoral. They have cans for sale, got here at a great time, as it wasn't super busy, ordered some food & drinks, & people started pulling in. Still here watching the Cubbies. The noodles were out of this world! Started off with the recommended Eat Shop, & my wife got From the Trees. Both well done. Surprised that they went the bitter route with Free the Trees, but it was still enjoyable for sure. Eat Shop was fantastic. Dungeons is solid overall, but my personal preference is Eat Shop out of the 3. Great, fast service here as well.

I like plenty of Half Acre beers, but there's no way a festival with only their stuff is the best in the area.

If we're focusing simply on the beer offerings themselves, yeah I'm out of my gourd. From a holistic standpoint (ease of tickets, ease of getting beers at the festival - even the most desirable ones, value for money, environment, chill attendees, etc.) it's right there. I think we generally get blinded by OMGWHALEZBRO, and I'm just a victim of that as anyone, but there's something to be said for things about festivals that aren't just the taps or the to go bottles.

I can see where you're coming from on that. My gold standard is Zwanze Day at Side Project, and a big part of that was how relaxed and not overcrowded the whole thing was. Getting tickets is definitely a shitshow, though.
