Yup! living in the woods till August - this has been my "picture backdrop stage" for the past couple months. Love the aesthetic.

 

I will indeed.. I need to start purging a bit of my cellar to make room for more!

 

I know this is crazy late but I want to apologize to my recipient as I am only shipping tomorrow. I have my excuses if you want to know them but I get it why people want their beers within a shipping window. The good news for my target is that I have modified the packing style to fit in the most beer I have ever shipped, and this being so late I picked up a few extras that won at the CBAs last weekend.

As for my box, it looks super exciting!

I presume I am your target. It shouldn't be an issue. Originally I had thought I would be away the next couple weeks, but that has changed, so I will be here to receive the box. Thanks in advance!

 

I received a ridiculous box today from @kjyost . 25 different beers in a slightly altered 12 bottle shipper. All beers new to me. The lazy CP employee who "delivered" the box simply dropped it, knocked and ran. My poor mother, who was visiting when it arrived nearly killed herself trying to drag the beast inside!

25 beers in a 12 slot shipper, including at least 5 large format bottles? How is this even possible? They must have double-slotted the smaller bottles via some sort of kinky cap-to-bottom positioning.

The sender should consider posting an instructional video on Youtube...

 

Lol! Tried something new & it worked. Left the top off & cut the flat foam from the top, maybe half an inch? Put all the bottles in the slots, packed them with bubble wrap to not shift. Then put some can between them like most people do. I then packed foam peanuts around all the bottlenecks well and then carefully put more cans around the necks (flat). I then capped it with the cut off top of the styroshipper. Had that all wrapped inside a garbage bag in case of leakage. I was worried that some necks might get jostled and leak (especially the Nonsuch Saison - FYI that's a gusher @Coronaeus ). It worked!'

I might add the cost was about the same to ship regardless (~$35) I guess due to Dimensional Weight...

 

In describing the alterations to the styro-shipper as slight, I may have understated the situation. This was styro-surgery of the highest order that likely required the use of special tools and skill not often seen. I was, and remain impressed. The next time I send a 12 bottle shipper with a measly 18 or 19 beers, I will certainly experience a sensation of inadequacy.
