Toppling Goliath in Chicago (2018)

Was just at the Libertyville Craft Beer store and they had 3 4pks left. Guy told me they got 6 total. $19.99 each and canned 6-22. Took a hard pass for the Hop Nawi that is $16.99 and canned on 7-2. Never tried it but heard good things plus he had a shitload of it. Feel I made a better choice??

 

I agree. That is why I was warning people it wasn't going to be much based on how many cases made it to illnois. Toppling goliath shouldn't have hyped it so much when most stores got one case and had to do single cans. Defeats the purpose of 4 packs...which is why I am sitting it out too.

 

TG shouldn't hype? Does not compute.

 

Heard that Field Museum will have lots of King Sue 4pks for sale, but will assume it will be at a fantastic markup like $35-$40? Can we write it off since it is a donation to the museum? LOL...

 

TG has probably made more people mad than happy in Illinois. It seems they sent a very small amount to each market. They probably made a mistake hyping it this much when they didn’t send enough to satisfy the people excited by their social media posts.

I think that is pretty well hyped. Not just oh we made cans of king sue.

 

I think GI should jump on this scam and advertise the whole BCBS line in 16.9oz 6packs this year and then we'll watch as the retailers split the packs and sell them all individually because they didn't get enough.

 

I for one eagerly await the $180 six packs of Prop '18. Which, as we all know, will feature honey and nuts in an homage to baklava....

 

Ever since the Pseudo Sue cans have been $7.99 a 4 pack (with Binny's card) I honestly haven't considered any other TG brews. Pretty fresh cans too. Belly happy, wallet happy.

 

I'll echo this. My fridge has been stocked with PS pretty regularly. Too good of a deal.
