The Locals HINTS AND HAULS THREAD

Soooooo I was minding my own business trying to pay for a couple trips I have coming up and was ninja'd to join the Summer Sixer by the 1 and only spy we have @andreizm honestly forgot about this round going on around the 4th. One of my favorite rounds so this was quite the surprise my man!



Retrieved the box the day I fly out so was late drink but drinking oz's as I type. Got back Monday and drunk these two hazy juices



Tuesday got off work and enjoyed this for dessert. Haven't had this variant but really enjoyed it. Back in 2012-13 speedway stout used to be my go to stout. Happy to see the direction they took.


Which brings me to Wednesday 4th of July, a time to enjoy family friends BBQ however I worked 13.5 hours in the ER. Only a couple burns came in this year. Really light. But came home to see Andrei blessed me up with this gem. It was 98° with a heat index making it 107 in KY. So when I got off work there still was a heat wave to could see clearly. This helped out a lot with late dinner.


Speaking of heat wave, it's no different today. The time is perfect to drink this beer. Very very good APA. Would drink a ton of this shit this summer.


Have one more wrapped bottle will save for tonights dinner. Having flank stank on the grill, should be a great hot night. Thanks again Andrei much appreciated

Another great BA from 3 sheeps.. didn’t get much coconut or walnut till the very end but it was real tasty.. called this one after looking it up on untappd.


Day 7 was a nice change of pace.. tasted like plum or blackberry

Flank steak was good but not as good as this.
Only solo domed one bottle from bottle logic and it happened to be this back on 14. Still blows me away today. Don't care how hot it it this is always a pleasure to drink. Thanks @andreizm

Damn, this is what a pastry stout should be... Definitely sweet, but doesn't overdo it at all. Really nice, smooth chocolate flavor. Some vanilla there, and something else.



Just blown away by this beer... The something else is graham cracker. I had a taster of this at Locals 4.0 and thought it was good. But this is on another level. Being able to really dig into this bottle is amazing. Thanks @core42 !

The wax on this bottle was insane. But it's really good. Lots of rye barrel, nice vanilla sweetness. No clue what it could be.

My apologies to @bstoos for the tardiness of my post. Had a big 4th party at my house and I may have over indulged.

Day 6:


Had this one while I could still taste what I was drinking, however I did forget to snap a before pic. This was a hit with the couple people I share it with. It was a nice change of pace after a few stouts, and pretty easy to crush while grilling.

Now on to the Kill Shot: (Somehow lost the above day 6 beer in the party clean-up, and day 5 La fin du monde)

That Stache Black Lager is one of my favorite beers, which surprised me when I first had it because there aren't too many good beers of that style around here.

I'm glad you enjoyed everything because I liked picking out all the beers for you. Sorry again about the original 4th of July beer breaking.
