Grabbed a 4 pack. Had never tried any of the prior iterations. Maybe it was just that my expectations were low, but liked it more than I expected to

There seems to be a decently strong price dissuasion for the smaller pours on their part. I get that it's a little more work, but you'd think they'd want people to try more beers. At any rate, the cheap man's guide to OH is going with a friend, ordering full pours and splitting them into a second glass yourself. Good way to get drunk for under $25.

For sure man. I rarely do tasters. And have never done two before. But a) was on my bike, b) had already had a pint of Suarez While @ gold star, and c) noticed the whipz after I’d ordered and figured why not, as it’s def not something I’m going to buy a 4 pack of

And yeah the big thing that struck me was $5 for a taster. Hadn’t noticed that jump before

Yeah the 25% jump came right around the Green City release. I'm with you that a pale ale should not cost $5 for 4oz (would you pay $20 for a can??). I'd like to think that the inflation now just means that tip and tax are included in the price.

Not to mention that those stupid little glasses they use as tasters rarely- if ever- have a solid 4oz in them. They are always carelessly filled with plenty of room at the top.

The issue is the don't even offer full pours of some stuff now and then charge $5 for 4oz. I was there Tuesday and really wanted to try DDH Oh Thats Trill, and it was only offered in 4oz. Guess who paid $5 for a 4oz pour.

I don't mind paying the taster premium when I'm there picking up a growler fill and need to keep the duration of my stay short. That's also taking into consideration that I hate wasting beer (leaving some behind), or chugging beer (also kind of a waste), more than I hate paying that extra price per ounce.

Personally I get more conflicted when McD's is selling breakfast sandwiches 2/$4- do I buy two and eat both, combine the egg onto one, split with a friend? Or you can get one Egg McMuffin for $3. That consumer predicament always pickles my brain in a briny solution of FOMO and hunger!

McDs 2 for 4 is insane. One can't afford not to eat there.

But as per tasters, OH is making a killing. It's pretty much a new board every 4-6 weeks and the Untappd crowd has to check everything. It seems like a lot of the OH taproom guests are somewhat infrequent visitors and will go for multiple 4oz pours.

It's nutty that a 16 oz can and 4 oz pour cost about the same, but good on them for getting it!

I listen to Backspin/Rock the Bells on Sirius often and “whoa” by Black Rob came on...can’t say I had ever it before but the first thing I thought, of course, was “holy shit, this is what they named that collab after.”

The key: put sriracha on your sausage egg mcmuffin and...you’re welcome.
The only thing other than the fries I’ll eat from there.

I thought it was awfully average at best a couple weeks ago but you inspired me to stop ignoring my cans. It’s so much better now.

Wah! I don’t want 10.5% DIPAs in the middle of Summer.

Um, the new AGE is fantastic. No burn whatsoever, Flavor is off-the-charts. Fan-fucking-tastic.

Um, you get 2 McGriddles for $4. How is this even a question? I used to get this all the time in college and is probably why I still have high blood pressure.

Looks like tomorrows releases are all up, tempted to head over and see whether I like them enough to brave the line.

That makes me wonder what effect, if any, the pre-can release tappings have on can line length. If only one of our regular readers was good at assembling spurious math equations we could probably arrive at an answer with little critical thought.
