I've only had 2 of the top 50 (Another One and Green). I always view these lists as a collection of good beers and nothing more. There are plenty of amazing IPAs out there.

Man every time I see these lists all I can think is "Hey Paste hit my line, I'm free to test a couple hundred amazing beers!"
    Cheers!

Also props to @CapeMayBrewCo for getting a top 75 finish on a one off NEIPA! That's impressive to say the least.

I’m glad the article opened my eyes about a lot of beer/breweries that I have never heard of, but seeing Offshoot’s Relax so high, or really, seeing it on a top 25 list in itself, to me is confounding.

I don't know quite what to say about an IPA ranking that has all the IPAs entered from Bell's, Surly, and Stone in the also-ran list, but an IPA from Sam Adams makes the list (except that I did enjoy the Sam Adams NEIPA).

Either hype does drive our perceived superiority of certain brewers, or it's just too much to accurately do a 300+ beer blind tasting. Or maybe a bit of both. Hard to take any list like this seriously, it's just a bunch of people's preferences without any tasting notes.

I just had an Offshot Relax (#2 on their list) the other day. Awesome IPA

The list was okay, I really liked the article “The State of IPA: Hazy, Juicy, Sludgy and Confused”.
Great ideas of what to look for during reviews of NEIPAs and Hazy ones in general.
I liked how they compared & contrasted well-made and not so well-made examples without bashing any particular brewery.

I am about to go to a store or two and look for some hazy offerings, luckily, I don’t have to travel far.
There may be an up-tick in NEIPA reviews coming our way. Watch out for the dishwater.

Normally I love lists, this one, not so much. Way too many, I’ve had 10 of the Top 80, and haven’t heard of most of them...324 IPAs, why that number, how can you rate that many fairly. This list sucks!!!! OK, done now, sorry

My gas station has also been selling the same batch canned on 4/26 (of Offshoot Relax, as singles for 2.99) for over two months, which is I guess the flip side of the great diversity of choices we now have as consumers.

For, um, research purposes, I kept picking up a can at a time though, and have not noticed the huge drop off referenced in the Paste testing. The first cans I had were less than a week old and among the best NEIPAs I have had as a Californian. I probably liked the beer best at 3-4 weeks, and was still impressed at 8-9 weeks. I have hesitated to buy more over the last few weeks as some fresher beers (like Heretic Make America Juicy Again) appear, but I think this undercuts the idea that Hazy IPAs are not shelf-stable/can’t be scaled up from the local level.

Did a blind tasting of some IPA's when I was in Florida with my daughter, we had Green, Haze, Grace and Grit, Gnarly Barley and Bloom. Bloom was my number 1 pick. Great beer, my daughter had it at 2
