I don't remember this getting any mention here, and I'm pretty sure there are a few of us BA folks out in the west burbs:

    http://www.newschoolbeer.com/2018/0...verton-pub-featuring-detroit-style-pizza.html

From the article: "The Beaverton pub calls for 14 taps of Ex Novo beer, bottles/cans to-go, and a family-friendly atmosphere open to kids until 9ish with hopes that the current brewery can supply both pubs and local distribution."

It will be in the Cady Building at the corner of SW Watson and SW Farmington, in the Historic District of downtown Beaverton. That's about 3 blocks from the Beaverton Central MAX Station.

I look forward to having them in my neighborhood.

Yeah I'm pretty hyped for this as well - not sure I've had Detroit-style pizza before.

I had no idea it was a "thing" either, but Mr.Google says:

Detroit-style pizza is a style of pizza developed in Detroit, Michigan. It is a rectangular pizza that has a thick crisp crust and toppings such as pepperoni and mushrooms. What makes Detroit-style pizza different from Chicago and New York styles is the crust, which is extra thick and very crispy on the bottom. The square shaped pizza is the result of being baked in a square pan, which is often not a pizza pan:[1] industrial parts trays are often used, which were originally made to hold small parts in factories.

The crust of a Detroit-style pizza is occasionally twice-baked, and it is usually baked in a well-oiled pan to a chewy medium-well-done state that gives the bottom and edges of the crust a fried or crunchy texture. Some parlors will apply melted butter with a soft brush prior to baking. The resulting pizza has a chewy texture.

drove by it on Monday on way to pick up my car from the shop.

Right across the street from Bigs Chicken. Yum!

Place looks really cool and happy to have another option on the westside. Moved from NE PDX 2 years ago and im happy to see the tide turning with food establishments coming to SW.

I'm happy too. Especially since there's a 52 bus stop in front of my home, and another 52 bus stop right in front of Ex Novo. When the weather is nice, it will be a 30-minute bike ride, tops.

Also: Curse you for mentioning Bigs Chicken. Now I'm fiending for it.

Haven't checked them out yet, though I've been to Nak Won next door. There are plenty of good Korean restaurants in Beaverton.

Really looking forward to having a pint of Mass Ascension IPA at Ex Novo tonight.

When I visit the portland with the family we actually stay at a vrbo in Beaverton. Get on the met for trips downtown and the zoo. Love their noodles. Toss up between them and franks. Excited that ex novo (a brewery I want to visit) is nearby.

Very cool, I've been wanting to visit the original location but it's a bit far/through traffic for me to go often. This new spot is close to some friends near us too. I can see myself biking here often come summer.

Sure, if you think the best things are Ex Novo beers and Detroit-style pizza.

That pizza is damn good, and no lie.

They must be busy. I saw yesterday they had to close early because they ran out of pizza.
