Okay so I'm roped into a ridiculously bad country concert on Friday by the wife. Luckily I get say in beer centric restaurants and/or brewpubs. So kind folks, is there anything nice being released this weekend or great places somewhat near Seattle center/ Key Arena?

Haven't been, but Teku isn't far, and folks seem to like it. The whole neighborhood up the hill to the Nortwest of Seattle Center has a bunch of good-to-great restaurants (sorry that I don't remember the name of Cajun-ish restaurant that sorta focuses on small plates. It was very good. It's kittycorner from a Pagliacci Pizza, only 3-4 short blocks up), but there's a bunch of good stuff right in that area. Hit a pretty good BBQ place once during a between sessions break a fest. BTW, what show ya seeing?

    The Masonry is very close.

Holy Mountain isn’t very far from the Key.

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. I'll check for that and Masonry. I'm not sure which way to go yet.

The Cajun place is Toulouse Petit and is pretty great. There's a pretty good Mexican place at the top of the hill, too. Mezcaleria Oaxaqueña.

Teku Tavern is the closest good beer bar. Holy Mountain and Cloudburst are the closest good breweries.

Yes! Toulouse Petite! My buddy who sorta lead our group was insistent on the shared plate thing, but their full menu looked awesome. I was having fun with friends, but a bit jealous of all the awesome plates going by. I recommend.

If your wife isn't super into beer, I don't know if I would take her to Cloudburst on a weekend unless you want a divorce. The place gets way over packed and lines get long.

I liked No Anchor last time I was in Seattle. There's a tiki bar around the corner that had solid drinks too.

Good folks, that cajun place sounds amazing. My wife was recommended a nearby mex place called Agave. Any firsthand experiences? They seem to have a few decent handles, but they do tequila flights too

I'm just checking in here. Just a heads-up that all these restaurants all get quite busy on Friday nights and especially so when there's a concert or such at the Key. Plan accordingly. Cheers.

Get a pizza from Windy City Pie and take it next door to Holy Mountain. Close enough to the Key yet far away enough away that you won't be dealing with the concert crowd.
