Mods closing threads...

Moderators should not have the power to close threads based on their own opinions. For example... I was looking for a beer. So I posted asking about it. It was where those posts go. But the Mod closed my post and told me to post it under a public thread on that brewery. The suggestion wasn't the problem. But he closed my thread. I understand cleaning up the forum. But if I wanted everyone to view that I would have posted it there. By keeping it separate I had the option of people seeing the question without being in that brewery thread that they might not go in. This same thing was happening 10 years ago and the Bros. pulled in the reigns. Well they need to be pulled. The closing of a thread for reasons like that takes away the freedom of us users who remember what it was like when Mods where doing things like that to the point where it became no fun to post. I hope my 10 years of being an active member can be taken into account here. I normally don't complain, but after thinking about this and multiple rookie thread closings, I'm putting my foot down.
