the kolsch is great. i bought a couple 4 packs but probably could have bought a couple more. Wasn't particularly impressed with anything else. The other CW collab and the quad hopped green city were meh. Did not try Citra+Medusa which was a mistake because the Citra+Galaxy was the best OH IPA I've had since Space Diamonds.

 

Kicking myself for only buying one 4-pack each of ACE and Space Diamonds when they dropped a few weeks back. They haven't released anything since then I've enjoyed nearly as much as either (admittedly, I missed Citra+Galaxy). Hoping collab szn winds down soon and we're treated to a mellow-yet-staple-heavy release... Itching for something dialed in like Forever Simcoe right now.

Yup quiet release. Line hasn’t even turned onto Garnet. Nice.

 

Apparently Grimm is quiet too....is it like a line lyfe holiday or something?

 

HVB released yesterday and I’m not sure if EQ is releasing today, those would be the ones (I think) that take the hazebros away from OH

I passed on those. Not helpful, I know, but the other 3 available were a lot more appealing.

 

Yeah, I'm planning on swinging by later this evening and grabbing the Kolsch, but was debating between Indigo or the Citra+Medusa. The dual hops have been so good my instinct is to just go with that, but would love to hear any early opinions.

Anyone try any of the stouts?

 

Yeah I went with both Omnibus and Indigo just because
a) UK breweries so have to big up my home nation
b) had a growler of citra medusa yesterday. Solid beer but didn’t blow me away
c) I’m just skeptical of a “kolsch” from OH. And @ONovoMexicano confirmed he wasn’t a fan which settled things

Having an omnibus and it’s solid but not amazing. Will let you know when I try an indigo but may not be till later

Edit +1 on the stout question. On paper sound awesome but been burned many times before, plus #eighteenbucks #fucklocals

 

There is talk of a S’mores Stout dropping next week.

I'm drinking the regular Cognac BA Smokescreens and this is way better than the vanilla variant, the latter had the barrel and perceived sweetness from the vanilla just overwhelm everything. This is much more restrained and the smoke and bakers chocolate notes I would expect from an Imperial Stout comes through. I wouldn't mind some more really straightforward BA stuff from Other Half if this is what its like compared to versions with adjuncts.

Please Saber This Can is...not my favorite, to put it lightly. That release was arguably their weakest of 2018.

 

I wasn't able to get to the brewery this weekend, but got to try a can of Citra + Medusa yesterday and it was excellent. I am hoping this week's release(s) will see some straight forward OH goodness and not more collabs.
