I really enjoyed last year’s fest, in part because the just about every brewery had something I wanted to try, but there was no hype monster driving a huge line. Granted I’m usually pretty happy to avoid the big line if there is one, but it’s just nicer overall to have a balance of breweries where you don’t have to debate waiting 45 minutes to get the hot shit. Looks like that will continue this year. Good job by the organizers of creating a well rounded brewery list.
This year we're hitting Cambridge Brewing Company, Meadhall, Lord Hobo and the Independent. You'll be able to get a passport stamped with the purchase of two small pours at each spot; a complete passport will be redeemable for a We're Funk'd t shirt at the fest, or at Night Shift / Springdale starting the week after WFF (pending availability) We had a blast doing 8 stops last year but by the end we were ordering pig heads and taking pickleback shots, and then we ran a festival all day Sunday. This year we just have to survive the World Cup final during setup on Sunday.
to be fair to all drinkers, there are some hidden hop gems in Burley Oak 100 w/Citra and Prison City Mass Riot. And a little Post Shift Pils for those working the event
Best fest. Great beer, great venue, great music, great food, and nary a haze-bro in sight. I don’t know what else you could even ask for.
I wish I would have met you at the fest! Ha! After thinking about it a bit, I would concur on the best fest- I have never spent less to sample so many amazing beers, and I absolutely love that it was a charity event.
