The approach to Haz’d Juice reminds me of something that falls between recent Hubbard’s cave releases and the Borgs collab between PWs and Marz. It’s got some initial pop to it, then some decent carb, and finishes with a pleasant drying finish.

It’s not as soft as recent Hop Butcher beers, and not as aromatically explosive as a TG ddh variant, but I like it quite a bit and it was easy to drink 6-8 cans over the weekend. Like all Brickstone beers, it was easy to have another. Highest compliment you can give a beer IMO

 

Picked up the new Saint Errant cana at Des Plaines Binnys. Also, to my surprise, they had a few 4 packs of FR Toro which will be my first FR beer. Can't wait to try both!

 

Oh yeah! I'm stoked! Does FR typically send stuff out for distro? I don't think I've seen any of their haze at Binnys before.

Naperville Standard Market for Saint Errant

 

I have a cold that is coming to an end finally and will probably crack one this weekend as long as I can taste again and will report back.

 

I had a rare half day of work and was able to get in on the action!

 

It's sitting on shelves at South Loop Binnys. I think that the $18+ price point is a tough sell for the average consumer.

Despite being a frequent HB purchaser (damn you beer community) I still have never found GB....Hope the quantities are up!

 

Brickstone Haz'd Juice is incredible. They completely nailed it and it's on par with the top stuff in the city in my opinion(which for me is Forbidden Root and Corridor). This is really awesome. Don't sleep on it. Has an initial hop bite which I love, and then finishes very fruity. A few six packs left at Binny's Grand on the floor. Might have to go grab another sixer depending on how fast I go through these hahaha, it's that good.

 

Completely agree. Went through a 4 pack of Haz'd Juice and Skrap Metal and Tavern Cut from Hop Butcher over the weekend and Haz'd Juice was notably better than the HB offerings.
