What I appreciated about Two Phones was the transparency that OH and The Veil just phoned it in.

Two Phones was fine. Not a toilet DP that one FB bozo claimed it to be.

I thought that Two Phones was pretty good, definitely better than some of the other Triples they've done lately. The whole weekend's release was not good though, glad I went and tried stuff on tap beforehand or I'd have a fridge full of beer I didn't want to drink.

Hop Showers has oats in it now??? And Small Citra Everything too? Can’t they just make an IPA that doesn’t have oats or lactose in it?

It’s funny how much they’ve changed since they started cannning. Remember green diamond and proper cans...if they canned green diamonds now the bros would riot. Do they even know green diamonds was a beer?

On a side note I’m sure it’s been answered I just don’t come in here much. Why no more proper cans for their beers? I’m guessing it boiled down to cost? Hop showers was the greatest can of all time.

If it doesn’t taste like hop flavored oatmeal then why bother man. Cash me outside if you have a problem wi dat.

What you’re talking about is called “beer” (bier? bere?) I believe. We don’t do that round these parts

I would take the copy on these emails with a grain of salt, they've been blatantly wrong before.

Yeah the instagram posts do not mention oats.

Also, flaked oats and flaked wheat are extremely common adjuncts in NEIPA (and always have been). OH just has been advertising the oats more readily since that helps sell beer to haze bros.

I'd be willing to bet most of us would not be able to tell the difference between an OH beer with oats and the identical beer without oats in a triangle test.

Yeah oats/wheat have a long established history in NEIPAs and can be traced as far back as early as March 2015. Basically part of beer lore now.

Joking aside I’m with you re: taste test. With tose though I reckon I could spot it

Real question here- does anyone in this forum consider themselves a "hazebro"?

    TOP DEFINITION
    Hazebro
A beer connoisseur who enjoys beer that has not been clarified. They are easily found in tap rooms and breweries sitting alone telling strangers about why hazybeer is great and using the term "biotransformation" in excess. Look for cargo shorts, a neckbeard and a cicerone pin.
Ex- These hazebros are going to go nuts when Tree House releases their next juicy NEIPA.

In here it’s generally localbro (like a dhaakon, papasdelicate, boardwalk etc) or hazenerd

@jrnyc is a hazegramps - does that count?

I think the definition also includes that a hazebro 1) must wait in line to get said juicy NEIPA and 2) must swap war stories about how sick said line experience is, bro.

Ok, my definition of a hazebro- someone who has such FOMO of the weekly Hazy IPA can release, that they go almost every weekend, think Hazy IPAs are better than anything else, and if you don't agree, you don't know anything about beer, and also buy way too many cases of said Hazy IPA's to just trade them around the country for other hazy IPAs. There are plenty of them waiting at Other Half every weekend, so I figure there's gotta be some in this forum haha.

I’d ballpark him around 80-85 but not 100% sure. Definitely cool considering his advanced age

Facebook has a higher concentration of hazebros. Check the OH, EQ, TH and HVB groups for prime examples. BA tends to skew more towards self-depricating cynicism.

When we did that Other Half get-together earlier this year, JRNYC was telling us how he managed to get through Prohibition.

I think based on this definition I might be like 75% hazebro. But my opinion of hazebro was always the can punting, drain pouring, teku breaking, brewery hating, my beer collectibles buying, brisket eating, drunk driving, belt busting caricature that I think of when I hear that term. If that is the definition than I am probably only 15% hazebro.
