I enjoy all the colder weather offerings, but there are still 2 full months left of summer. "Absence makes the heart grow fonder "

Sounds like you should relocate to a cooler climate then you could have winter year round. Good thing your not in AZ, 114 most days in summer and 100s in fall.

I should move somewhere where it is winter year round? Make some sense. I have lived in some of the hottest places on earth and did not cry about it.

I am confused with your post, my post was to another person? I did not say you should move I was telling that to the guy who said he hates summer?

Next yer gonna tell us that you hate baseball. Radical.

I grew up in the Midwest where winters are very long, that's why I don't like to rush summer -- let me enjoy the weather when I can go outside without worrying about my ears falling off.

I'm ready for fall in general, johnny... not just because I hate the heat and humidity of Porkopolis (which I do) but also because it'll be Back To School time; I don't have to explain the appeal of that to anyone who lives with teenaged children... but I shan't burden y'all with my petty problems! (Although when was the last time you heard "shan't" and "y'all" in the same sentence?)

The weather does affect my taste in beer and I gotta admit, fall is my favorite beer season. I do enjoy the pumpkin and brown ales generally; Bell's Best Brown is a go-to, as is our local Mt. Carmel Nut Brown. Enjoy Samuel Smith's Nut Brown as well. Have found several pumpkins over the years that I enjoy but am looking forward to trying some different ones when they come out.

Currently I'm in summer IPA/fruit beer mode - quite fond of Brewdog Elvis Juice this time around - with the occasional lager thrown in: Helles, Pils, Dortmunder...

As the earth revolves around the sun, so shall life revolve (at least partially) around good craft beer... Cheers from Porkopolis!

It could seriously cycle from Mid September-Mid February over and over again and I would be content.

People think I'm nuts but I enjoy Fall and Winter more than Spring and Summer when it comes to everything. The food is better IMO (hearty soups and holiday food), The seasonality of the movies and TV shows (horror and Christmas), the way the days are shorter, the video games that come out.

Sports: college football, NFL, college basketball

I love curling up with my warm blanket and slippers on the couch in the mornings with a piping hot cup of coffee on cold mornings.

And of course the beer is so much better. Brown Ales, Marzens, Imperial Stouts, Belgian Quads, Pumpkin Beers, Wet Hot IPA's, Winter Warmers, etc... all taste so much better than the offerings in the Spring and Summer IMO.

I will be ready for fall beers in the fall. Nothing is as offputting to me as drinking a pumpkin beer or mega heavy stout in 94 degree weather with about 300% humidity, yes even when I'm inside.

Two of my greatest loves are Oktoberfests and football. The first preseason Iggles game is August 9th. I can't wait.

Haha don't blame you at all. I should have mentioned the caveat that if I grew up somewhere like Maine, I probably wouldn't hate summer as bad. I know y'all have heard it before but it isn't the actual temp in Bama that will get you, it's the humidity. I went out to weed eat the other day and put it up on the bed of my truck to restring it and was pouring sweat in a matter of a few minutes. I'm not talking just sweating a lot...I'm talking my shirt was drenched and it was only 85.

And actually baseball is the one thing I do like about the summer!

I wouldn't be opposed if I weren't leaving a good/easy job to do it (government work). I have been out in your neck of the woods for work actually. It was August 3 or 4 years ago. The heat in AZ will get you but it can be 80 in Bama and feel like 120 with the humidity. Hey AZ is a pretty state though.

Yes, many of us do. In the case of festbier styles (and many people professing they would drink them year round), I am convinced many would languish on the shelf if a year round release.
