The beer is some wishful thinking, because this insane summer is kicking my ass... so there will be plenty of beer today!

Going for another easy drinking beer. Eriksberg is Carlsbergs slightly premium brand, and is pretty tasty for what it is.

Good morning BA, have a great Saturday. Supposed to be raining all weekend. Going to a birthday dinner for my grandfather in the afternoon.

This was fantastic. Aromas and flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, lime, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, light honey/caramel/toasted malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; balanced creamy/bready malts and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Some resins/rinds, light-moderate increasing dryness, no hop astringency. Very drinkable, not overly aggressive, minimal warming 8.5%. Not quite a NEIPA, but I still loved it. The Loral/Mosaic profile was as expected. Awesome balance of juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy hop complexity; nice bready malt backbone, with minimal residual sweetness from lingering dryness. Glad this is year round.

2017 is tasting amazing right now! Aromas and flavors of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, nutty dark roast coffee, caramel, toffee, vanilla, brown sugar, bourbon, coconut, toasted oak, and dark bread; with light molasses and smoke. Very mild roasted bitterness and bourbon/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation and full body; with a very creamy, silky, velvety, and rich mouthfeel. Mild stickiness, chalky roast, oak tannins, and dryness. Minimal warming 11.8%, zero booze. Unbelievably smooth. Definitely better than it was fresh right now. Everything is perfectly balanced, and more silky smooth on feel.

    Cheers

Insane NE DIPA as always, my last can until the fall when it comes back. Aromas and flavors of huge tangerine, orange juice, peach, apricot, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, grapefruit, guava, lemon, citrus zest, berry, and light pepper/pine hops; with moderate wheat, white bread dough, light honeyed malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Very minimal pine, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium-full bodied bready/grainy creaminess in the mouthfeel. Slight hop stickiness, with a touch of increasing lingering bitter dryness. Zero hop astringency. Dangerously drinkable for 9.3%, minimal warming ABV. One of the absolute best in the style I've had, smoothness is unmatched. Pure citrus/tropical fruit juice hop flavors, with a touch of dankness. Never overly sweet or heavy feeling on malts for the body/ABV; perfectly balanced. Super soft mouthfeel. Old Nation definitely has the best MI NEIPAs. Full Earth is pretty much just as amazing, and will be a go-to all summer. Very similar, but more citrusy and dank on hops.

Lower ABV this year, but still just as delicious. Aromas and flavors of big caramel, brown sugar, brown bread, vanilla, toffee, bourbon, coconut, toasted oak, and biscuit; with lighter notes of molasses, butterscotch, chocolate, cocoa, coffee, raisin, cherry, plum, and herbal hops. Light herbal/roast bitterness and bourbon/oak spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; very creamy/bready malt mouthfeel; light slickness, sticky hops, chalky roast, oak tannins, and increasing dryness. Minimal warming 9.5%, zero barrel booze. Did not impress me as much as most other Clown Shoes BBA beers, but still spot on for what they were going for. Very rich and well rounded brown ale malt complexity; great barrel integration, without being boozy or overly tannic/drying.

The beer is actually lighter in color than in the photo but I wanted to show off the creamy white cap . . .

Very clear light yellow-gold color with large white cap and good lacing.

Aroma of solid malt with spicy, floral hops.

Taste on entry displays a firm hoppiness, almost flinty, riding on the back of the malt. The malt is sweet, biscuity, and with a touch of fresh yeast rolls. Floral elements in the scent don't show as much in the flavor but are rather subsumed by the hops firm spiciness. Fairly simple flavors that are clean and consistent all the way through.

    Medium texture with balancing carbonation.

This beer is clearly brewed with skill and meets the level of sophistication I usually find in well crafted European Lagers. A rather tasty and satisfying beer.

Morning everyone! Woohoo and welcome to my marathon beer tasting food and beer pairing weekend thanks to @2beerdogs !

I am enjoying the idea of working with three different berliners. That is a rare opportunity to have something just slightly varied right in front of you. I am big fan of dry white wines and that is why I love the berliner. It goes where white wine will go in a meal. It's also a great chance to see the differences in funk and other aspects for each beer. The first beer I tried was the raspberry berliner and I thought it much more sour than this one. I'll be back later with some tasting notes and my dish. Roasted eggplant and tomatillo salad.

    Cheers!

This is what I am having for breakfast. Thank you, @AdmiralOzone! This is the best rum-based beverage I have had since I used to put some Appleton Estate rum in with Blue Raspberry Jack3d, before leg day at the gym.

It's kind of a slow afternoon at the bar I work at. Opened up an hour and a half ago and still no thirsty customers. Couldn't bear the thought of 13 unused taps so I decided to pour myself a beer. Starting with an easy APA for this scorcher of a day here in Copenhagen; Sidekick Brewings LL Cool Ale. Nothing fancy, just a nice floral ale for a warm summer day. Cheers!
