@afroskully was that you running in the park? where we were looking at each other in a confused way like we recognized but couldn’t quite place? if not then there’s an afro doppelgänger getting home telling his wife about the psycho staring him out in the park

So thursday night I did some bodily damage at the taproom before and after the prospect park bandshell show. The dual hop IPAs won each time (african queen/mosaic, citra/medusa) over the other offerings, which of course were all great. I thought the cloudwater colab was pretty stellar as well and the sour berliner was surprisingly good. DDH SGE was a little thin and still doesn't compare to the OG small green from way back when. I still think that was the greatest smelling beer I've ever had.

One small gripe. A poor late night decision was made to try the quad ddh VIP green city as the last beverage of the night. Tasted much better as it warmed up, but.. $8 for 8oz? $16/can? It wasn't on tap, they were pouring out of cans (which made me think what would happen if I only ordered a 4oz?)

Haha glad I got it right!

And while indigo hands was a pretty mediocre UK collab, I totally agree about cloudwater. Just had my last can Thursday while watching the TDF. Thought it was a great beer

I don’t know... that could’ve been quite the prop for the next Haizboy video.

He’s planning his revenge with intent. Prepare for great repercussions.

Small Citra was ACE, but everything taken down a few notches. Needed a bit more fruity hop punch to be on the usual OH level, but perhaps it might evolve in that direction as the green notes fade?

Anyone know what's left from today's release? Debating heading over tonight or first thing Sunday.

Nevermind some how missed the instagram 3pm update.

For those interested only 495nm, kolsch, and mmm... Guava are left.

Any comparison to the citra single hop from earlier this year?

    Sorry didn't have that one.

It's definitely lighter-tasting than this year's Citra cans. I'd say it tastes closer to the original All Citra Everything than it does to the single-hop cans.

Similar to ACE but somewhat lighter, I thought. I shared the first can but it seemed more like one of their session IPAs than a regular.

Since La Slowteria has reopened, I reckon it deserves a specific mention in the local eats section
