The bros tried to ban acronyms once. Didn't last very long.

A Deal With The Devil. It's made by Anchorage Brewing. The b.1 and b.2 you often see associated with ADWTD is in reference to the particular batch the owner has.

It's a "Barleywine style ale brewed with Galaxy Hops. A starting gravity of 37 Plato. Aged eleven months in Cognac barrels."

I just can't wrap my head around the tavour price. Will not be wishing for one or buying the stout in 375s they also put up this week.

Yeah, that price is a bit painful. There aren't a lot of beers I can talk myself into spending that much money for.

Or to put it another way:

    So much good beer here.
Why pay that kind of money?
    Here's a beer haiku.

Not that this is any sort of good excuse, but I've always heard their association with Shelton Brothers is part of the reason for the high price tag.

Like blackcloud, I remember it being $25 for the Double Oaked 375s at the brewery when it was released.

price aside, ADWTD is a phenomenal beer, and definitely worth trying if you get the chance.

Someone on a trading forum offered a boxed set of ADWTD for two HoG. I was 35 minutes late. Been thinking about that ever since :slight_frown:

I assume Hand of Glory. It's a very highly regarded BW made by Holy Mountain.

agreed. I had multiple pours of batch 2 around Portland, and was able to secure 1 bottle. then the year when batch 3 (?) came out (this was the 1st year it didnt have cork and cage) i was able to get 5 bottles. The Whole Foods in NE got a bunch and I dont think many customers knew what it was. I went back week after week and the bottles were just sitting there.......so i bought them. then I drank all of them :slight_frown: now wishing i had 1 more
