Today we picked up the big rental van for our x-country trip, and dropped off the Minis for shipping. Things went smoothly, so I am rewarding myself with this. I feel like I'm drinking a mai tai.

If you get to Central PA, probably about 30 minutes from Troegs, stop by this awesome brewery. They always have great stuff available and this was from my recent stop on the way home from family. I can honestly say a year ago I wasn't keen on the sours but then again perhaps I didn't have any Sours that were worth drinking until recently (or developed taste buds). This has to be one of the best ones I've had and it's the Raspberry version (there are several varieties of Turkey Burglar)

Awesome. Never been at the wheel of a Toyota 4x4 myself to be honest. But I think it would be my first choice when I'll be shopping for a rugged 4x4. I love the look of these cars (besides that I know it's very good quality of-course).

I've driven a Land Rover 110 (that was very rugged and rather spartan) for some years. We used it for outings to the Scottish Highlands. For transportation and many times as sleeping quarters for two (sometimes more).
    Cheers!

Holy crap the aroma on this one is ripe. I can smell it clear across the room. @TheGent, I didn't get to it last night like I suggested I might, but it's definitely hitting the spot right now. Cheers, and LARRRGE!!!

Brooklyn Black Ops not a warm weather beer IMO. However my friend is celebrating the birth of his 1st grandchild and is sharing a bottle or 2. Excellent stuff in any case,

    I dunno

It needs to sit for about a week or 2. The 6/27 batch in my fridge tastes better to me. At 1 week it tastes "juicier" for sure, but I think it needs to develop a bit. Just my personal preference, but I prefer an IPA that's about 14-21 days.

This glass has more of a sticky sweet flavoring, while the glass I had last night (6/27) has more of the citrus fruit popping

I have zero issues with that statement. In either case, the beer is still very fresh. I remember John Kimmich stating that he preferred Heady Topper at 10 weeks.

It's just a completely different beer that's what's incredible about the IPA in general.

I have to have one or two ultra fresh then revisit them as the weeks go on. I've just found myself to like them around the 3 week period best. I think that's when the subtle citrus starts to really bloom out of the beer and it becomes almost delicate

I've also noticed that the carbonation changes as well. The glass I'm having right now has an almost syrupy quality to it, while at the 21-30 day mark you get the bite of the carbonation.
