Rushing Duck (2018)

I was there this weekend. Picked up some Dad's Breath which is one of my favorites

 

If the weather cooperates this week I might be stopping by on the weekend. Did you catch what beers they have available in cans besides that one?

A new brewery opened up in Chester called Long Lot Farm Brewery. It's a pretty small place and they only have 6 taps running, but they do growler fills. I was there over the weekend after hitting up Equilibrium. The beers were all pretty good. Their hoppy IPA Glacier Juice was far and away my favorite, but I also really enjoyed their red ale and maple porter.

I figured I'd mention it here since they're very close to Rushing Duck. They also seem to have a good relationship with them. One of the guys doing pours was wearing a Rushing Duck tshirt and they had Naysayer on tap as well.

 

went there a couple of weeks ago, definitely a nice stop, beers are good.

 

I see that Rushing Duck doesn't get much attention here, thinking about visiting. Anyone has any tips, suggestions?

 

Yeah, go on a day they are open. Our best kept secret. You will be happy.

 

I agree with @cavedave. Just visit when you have a chance. RD is one of my favorite breweries. I grew up nearby and visit every chance I get. Can’t believe how they fly under the radar but they make great beer for sure. Hopefully when you go they’ll have some canned options.

 

Yeah you can't go wrong with RD on any visit. Always great stuff on tap.

There's also a new(er) place in Chester called Long Lot Farms, but I haven't been or had any of their beers and can't speak on quality or experience.

Love this brewery, but I've been neglecting them. Visited Duck In for the first time. Love the space and 20(!) taps is pretty impressive. The food truck they have there was really tasty. Thought the Duck In Pale Ale was fantastic and a crusher. This iteration of Divided by Zero had an onion thing going on I didn't love, but I've always been a fan of that series of beer.

Also went down the street to Long Lot Farm Brewery. I was pretty impressed for a little 1 bbl brewery about to expand to 3 bbls. Worth checking out, too.

 

Let me echo what others have said. RD is one of my favorite breweries, not only for the uniformly excellent beers but the great atmosphere and really nice people. who work there. Whether you're in Duck In on a summer Saturday with a big, lively crowd, or Duck Out on a Thursday night in the winter with just a few locals, the atmosphere is really fun and the beer worth the trip!

 

Rushing Duck is an awesome place. Go there and hang out try all there beers.

Depending on where you are coming from, if you go on a Saturday, stop at Equillibrium for some cans and then hit Rushing Duck for a great time with great beer.

 

I miss being able to get cans of War Elephant

 

Since the thread has been bumped, a quick question for the RD regulars: are there usually cans available any old day at this point, or just when there are releases?
