I am not a big fan of beer packs but I actually want to snag this one. I like the mix this go around.

Kudos to Sierra Nevada for producing Vienna Lager for this package.

The two beer brands that I would like to purchase from Sierra Nevada as standalone products are:
    • Kolsch
    • Vienna Lager
    A man can dream, can't he?

    Cheers!

Definitely would like to pick this up, albeit in September, where hopefully it hasn't been sitting warm in a local shop for 5 weeks already lol.

If they drop now I plan to get it fresh and just toss in fridge, least I know its been kept cold and in 3-4 weeks I can consume. I am not very concerned at this time, but if it was December then I would maybe think more about it sitting out all that time. A month in store even warm is not going to do anything.

I'll definitely be picking up a few packs. Torpedo instead of PA....sure, why not.

Tumbler is what is pushing me away. Not a fan of Brown Ales unless something is added such as coffee.

I'll buy that for Vienna and Tumbler alone. Also looking forward to revisiting Ruthless.

+1 for the kolsch as a standalone. I bought another pack just to get more of the kolsch.

Interesting how they made Torpedo the focal point on the front graphics. Is that beer declining in sales?

I pick up SN mixed packs regularly and this will be no exception. Happy to see PA dropped, I enjoy it but it's nice to see something different.

Long time lurker, I finally made an account to add a vote for the Kolsch. I can't remember when I was so surprised at how much I liked a new beer. I'm not a high volume customer, but six packs of SN Kolsch would definitely take turns with the cheap 4-pack pints of König-Pilsener as the beer I rarely leave my store without. This fall sampler looks delightful.

I think everyone who really enjoys the Kolsch and want to see it replace Nooner or something else should take the time to directly email SN about it. I don't think they are monitoring +1's on BA.
Every month when they send me a product survey I let them know.

Well, that is not me. I think that Nooner is a damn fine beer.

    Cheers to Nooner!!

    LOL!

Sierra Nevada is a pretty large brewery - a sizeable brewery in CA and a large brewery in NC. Two of the beers they have decided in the past few years to reduce production of are the Porter and Stout. They are fully capable of adding a new brand (or two) to their production schedule without the absolute need to eliminate beers like Nooner or Otra Vez. But they will only be adding these new brands if there are a significant number of beer consumers countrywide to support these brands. I will buy a number of 6-packs of Sierra Nevada Kolsch (and Vienna Lager) and @ecpho may buy a few cases of Kolsch but is that enough to convince Sierra Nevada to add more beer brands (either as seasonals or year-round)? Maybe you have the answer here?

    Cheers!

Since when is a rye beer not a rye beer? Not sure I see your logic. Can’t it be both? Are you basing this idea on how the beer is categorized on BeerAdvocate? That’s not immutable. A beer in one category doesn’t mean it can’t be in another.

After comparing nooner to summerfest I feel why bother? I don't think SN has room in their portfolio for more than one fizzy yellow beer, but I could be wrong. I'm pretty sure nooner isn't selling all that well.

Man the first Variety pack I got from SN was the winter pack a few years ago, that beer was so flippin good I went out and bought 2 more packs. I was obsessed with it.

I'm on a try and review new stles kick.
My logic is I have not yet reviewed a Rye Beer although I have tried a few over the years.
This is base on Ruthless Rye IPA being classified as an IPA by BA. I do not know of any beers being in more than one category.
When is a Rye Beer not a Rye Beer......when its a Rye IPA!
