Do you add new beers to BA?

If I have a new beer and it isn't listed here, I add it.

 

I always add it if I find it is not listed.

 

On those rare cases when a beer is not on here, I will add it.

I don't look up beers on BA before or after ordering, so I don't have a clue if it is listed or not. However, I do add and rate the beers that I drank at a new brewery when I add the brewery to the database just to fully complete the Places addition.

 

Beers (and places) ain't gonna add themselves.

 

Not here, but always on Untappd, because I usually rate on there real-time when I'm out at the brewery or drinking a beer at home. I usually rate on this site after-the-fact to check off the top 250.

 

Looking at my stats, I've added 70 beers. So, yes, I've added some but probably fewer than a lot of other BAs. They all help though.

 

I add them all the time, and upload pictures too.

 

Yes, I've added quite a few, especially from local breweries.

 

Yes indeed, especially beers from my local breweries in Cleveland.

I live in an area with a bunch of breweries. There is always a "new" beer on tap somewhere. I don't add all of those beers, but will if I'm doing a review, and the beer hasn't been added here.

Yes, 175 so far. Probably should be more like 200 but I've been a little more lax in recent years.

 

I've noticed some of the beers I've added over the years still only have a review from me, despite multiple releases, mean while the same beer on Untappd has a few dozen to several hundred check-ins. I think that's telling of the BA user database vs. Untappd and would explain why so many beers get added to Untappd before they get added here.

Otherwise, I think @dbrauneis hit the nail on the head. We're up to 7k breweries in the USA, and as @JackHorzempa (I think) pointed out the other day - Tired Hands has upwards of 400 beers listed on this site. Not all breweries are producing that much 'variety', but it certainly adds to the madness of having every beer produced within the BA database when there are thousands of breweries producing one-offs and collaborations.

 

I'm adding beers and places all the time. Usually I take pictures to remind and remember.
So far over 300 beers added.
