    Sixpoint Brewerywww.sixpoint.com, www.instagram.com/sixpoint

Address: 40 Van **** St, Brooklyn, NY 11231

Tap Room Hours: Only open during Saturday releases for now.

How to Get There Via Mass Transit
    • Take the F/G to Smith-9th Street, then either (1) walk over (15 minutes), or (2) take the B61 from the corner of Smith and W 9th
    • Take the free Ikea ferry from Pier 11 in the Financial District
    • Take the subway from Manhattan and hop on the B57. Useful stops are at Court St and Schermerhorn St (for Borough Hall and the 4/5) and Jay St/Willoughby St (for Jay St – MetroTech and the A/C)
Current Tap List: @Sixpoint often gives us a heads up the week of the release as to what will be available on tap during the release, but it’s subject to change. Currently tasters and $5-7 for pints of what's on tap.

    Growler Fills: None for now.

Can and Bottle Sales: See below for this month’s release.

    Outside beer: Nada.

Kids and Dogs: OK for now, but not recommended as the space in the courtyard is limited, so it is not an ideal space for either. A few dogs have made appearances.

Swag: https://merch.sixpoint.com/. Items also for sale through the App and in the courtyard on release day.

Local Eats: As always, there will be a food vendor at Sixpoint during the release party. For before or afterwards, check out: Fort Defiance, Red Hook Lobster Pound, The Good Fork, Hometown Bar-B-Que, Defontes, Grindhaus (opens at 5 PM), Ample Hills Factory and Museum, plus a lot of other places on Van Brunt St near Pioneer.

Nearby Drinking Establishment (20 minute walk): Van Brunt Stillhouse, Rocky Sullivan’s, Sunny’s Bar, Brooklyn Ice House, Seaborne.

App: Required to purchase small-batch releases and/or merch, and doing so will create a QR code that provides access to the courtyard on release day. Find it on the App Store or Google Play.

@Sixpoint, are the new 16oz cans of Hootie brewed in Memphis or Brooklyn?

Drinking one at the moment. Was super pumped to see it was being distro’ed. Had the opportunity to try to original back in December and loved it and it’s brother Hootie Hoo. (Which this beer is if I’m remembering right- Hootie Hoo is the new Hootie?)

Anyway on to the beer. Darker than the original. Really similar mouthfeel and nose if I remember correctly. Lots of tropical fruit on the nose: mainly pineapple for me which I love. Really easy drinking and flavorful for the 5.4% Abv. I think I would give the slight nod to the original but man I do really like this one too. I’d buy regularly if available. Love that you guys are getting these new beers out there in distro. Keep it up!

Guess Ill be the first to share my thoughts.

I wonder why the dull sense of Excitement for this Pale Ale or is it pale ales in general? Mabey it's the smaller distribution footprint for this one. Personally speaking I was elated to get my hands on this beer!

Anyways Been drinking Sixpoint for years now but never was able to make it to the small batch release until this beer came out and allowed me to finally get an Idea of your take on the "style".

Strange you bill it as a Hazy American Pale but not a New England one. Even more strange is the whopping 5 IBUs?! Is that for real?

Anyways the beer is great! It def pours Hazy for as advertised . its fruity and has a pleasant bitterness to it that never becomes to much. It also has tons of fruity esters from the yeast that blend with the hops to almost give this ice tea like sweetness in the aroma.

For a Pale Ale, a Hazy one :sunglasses:
    It's damn Solid!

Sad to be drinking my last cans of Spritzer and Spritzer Bomb, those are definitely two of my favorite beers from 2018.

I wanted to drink a second one before giving my thoughts. Also I was pretty drunk when I drank my first one.

One of the best smelling beers I've ever had Dank with citrus.
There is a little bit of sweetness but it does a great job of offsetting the bitter side. A touch of grass and pine I wanna say some papaya, lemon, tangerine.
A great beer all around. If it is in the store I will pick it up regularly.

As an aside, I was at Legal Seafood yesterday. Ordered some oysters and a Lobster roll. Asked, "What's on that Sixpoint tap.". The Crisp was so spot on with my little snack. Damn that beer is beyond reproach.

Does anyone know if the remaining beers don't sell out via the app if you can purchase either day of via the app or just swing by and pick up cans? I am not 100% if I can make it there on Saturday and likely won't know until that morning.

My gut instinct says you can buy morning of before the release. A foggy memory of last month says I looked at the app while at the release and noticed things were still for sale, so possibly? Hopefully Shane can answer, but you could also email their app team as they respond pretty quickly.

One of each pack for me this month, as usual, and I'll probably have a hard time leaving without taking one of the 4 packs of Hootie pounders with me...
