Never been to Zwanze day, how does this whole process work? Is it all Lambics?

    1. Show up as early as possible with a glass and your best sharable bottles.
    2. Let the magic begin.
    3. The actual Zwanze pour and subsequent lambics bottle sale will pale in comparison to the morning you just had.

What he said (er, typed). I don't think I've had the Zwanze beer the last 3 times I've been. Didn't need to. Stay close to the RV

Am I gonna have to buy tickets online or anything, or just show up? My body is ready.

You just show up. They start selling tickets for the actual Zwanze pour about an hour before the event is supposed to begin. Last year you could choose the Zwanze or Nath, so twice as many people got to try something. The (on-site only) bottle sales after the pour don't require a ticket.

Should we tell him about the Gauntlet and Treasure of Wishes? No? Okay.

So, today CS released some new details on Zwanze and it doesn't sound like it's going to be anything like previous years. First and foremost, it's at the Source. Second, there is no outside alcohol allowed.

    I can't seem to post a link, but it's Facebook Event #524580704636175

I'll let everyone make up their own mind what this means to them.

Man, I'd love to go, but the Source's atmosphere isn't for me. Don't cage me in, bro!

About the only thing good I can say is that the event will be more about the actual Zwanze beers than in previous years. I'm sure they think it'll cut down on the people hammered by mid-day, but it's not like they aren't just going to pre-game elsewhere.
I doubt they ever will, but I'll hope that the "surprise" lambics on sale after the pours will be available to go. The Source isn't conducive for that kind of event.

Where does it say "surprise" lambics for sale? All I see is that additional Crooked Stave "limited" releases will be for sale.

I was just assuming they'd have some like every other year. They always act like it's a surprise even though everyone knows they've been holding all of those bottles back just for Zwanze.

On the actual event listing it says other Cantillon beers will be available.

Per the event listing "Additional Cantillon draught beers will be offered. $10 for 10oz. Available to non-ticketed guests."

Apparently the lack of "official" parking lot shares didn't affect ticket sales. They're gone already. I'm going to remain optimistic even though I'm eye rolling this whole thing a bit. CS occasionally surprises me, so hopefully this will be one of those times.

I'm definitely concerned. I has hoping the whole thing would be ticketed, but I can't imagine how they are going to accommodate all the people that didn't get tickets that still show up and want pours of other Cantillon.

    Did anyone actually get tickets?
If you have a Zwanze ticket (NOT just Nath), local guy is seriously ISO: will buy if available, or trade if you're interested (crazy good offer)
