Most expensive beer to make, but same price as all the other stouts released in the past few months

Looks like all the mules are out today. Saw a guy roll in with what was clearly his mother or grandmother, along with the usual facebook resellers double dipping. Normally I wouldn't comment like this but it was pretty disappointing to see Andrew opening a bottle of the stout to sample for people who are not only buying more then the allotment, but also reselling. Catering to people who are turning a profit on your beer is not a good look.

There's already a single bottle of Vanilla Futurez on My Beer Collectibles with an asking price of $35. Absurd.

Sorry that was a typo - it was meant to be 350. I will fix. Thanks for heads up

I mean I looked at MBC after I went to this past HVB release and I saw the bottle already up there for $100 which is pretty crazy.

I saw her too! I was wondering what that was about. It all makes sense now...

I was at Cantillon a year ago and had the pleasure of witnessing Jean throw out mules himself. He asked them simple questions about the beers they were to purchase and when they didn’t know anything about what they were buying, they had to go. He then stopped all bottle sales and did some soul searching for a solution for a week at least. I don’t know what the resolution was but it was pretty fun to watch linelyfe eat itself.

I didn't get the pour directly but did get a secondary sip from one of the people who did and IMO it was realllllllly good. Hard to define the taste exactly (not sure I know what saffron tastes like) but I really enjoyed the sip I had.

Here's the post from about that time frame; nonetheless, the solution may still be in the works

Interesting, I was talking to some English women who was next to me in line at an Other Half last fall and she told me that when she was there last she was able to get Fou but they were discrete about selling it, it wasn't advertised as being for sale. I'm guessing it was exactly cause of this, they wanted to make sure real fans were getting bottles.

She asked me where the back of the line was. Sounds like we were all in there around the same time. Too bad we couldn't get up an impromptu haze sesh.

Had to be on a call at 1:30 back in Manhattan, otherwise I would've been down. Maybe next time they release a double vanilla saffron stout?

Hey, first time poster, I hope this is suitable to post here rather than the trading forums.

Is there anyone in Manhattan who frequently goes to OH who would like to split their 4-packs? I'm normally there every couple of weeks but never come away with cans, I'm all for variety over quantity!

Taproom isn’t as busy as I suspected, seems like supply is good, Stout is now on for pours.

Just left. Got a 4 pack and one bottle and had 4oz of the stout. Pretty good. Definitely very sweet. A whole bottle would take a while. I do have #basicbitchpalate, but I didn’t pick up any super expensive saffron
