So this will be the 10th year for this. Seems like they usually run this event first week of November. Has anyone gone to any of the previous years? Is it a one day thing, or do they keep brews on for several days?

It's a one-day event, but I've been at the Eccentric Cafe several times in the week or two after All-Stouts Day and there were several special stouts still on tap. The most special ones will run out more quickly and I doubt that they replace kegs with the same beers.

If my memory serves me correct, I visited on the Saturday before All Stouts Day in 2016. They had not done anything with their taplist that day but they were doing a special stout related brewery tour on both Saturday and Sunday. They quietly started selling Black Note in the General Store that Saturday and for the next few days as well. I don't know if they did anything similar in 2017.

Selling bottles of BA Expedition during this event would be glorious.

Slightly off topic but their annual Roll Out The Barrel event in early October is a great event as well. I can get stout fatigue pretty quick so a variety of different styles in various types of barrels is more appealing to me. Great event if you are looking for an excuse to go to Bell's. I believe they released Black Note bottles during last years event.

It is a one day thing & it's a great time as is Roll Out The Barrel although they tend to be pretty close to each other on the schedule & have a lot of the same beers at both events. If I could only choose one it would probably be Roll Out The Barrel but that's just my personal preference.

The day after both events they mostly return to their regular lineup but usually keep a handful of the special beers on tap. When they kick they replace it with another special beer so that you can get something unique for a week or so at the Eccentric Cafe

Oftentimes a silent bottle release coincides with the events

Black Note was released at the ROTB event last year.

The variety at ROTB trumps All Stouts Day if you're looking for rare and seldom released offerings.

Didn’t go last year but I really like roll out the barrel.

We’ve talked about taking the train. Get on in East Lansing. The train station in kzoo is just down from bells. Drink it up. Ride train back that night. $18-22 for the ticket. But no car. No gas. No DD.
