Same thing with Black Tuesday, but ended up being more like Black out Friday.

I much prefer aces to fire. Might have to look into this.

My draft pour had no pulp or sediment. My can had a little. So it’s probably still advisable to roll the cans briefly

For my situation, everything about the release is inconvenient so I'll sadly never make one.
    - Friday mid-day releases are when I'm at work.
    - Even though I have summer half-day Friday's I don't want to waste our precious Chicago summer days waiting in a line
    - Friday summer traffic in and out of the city is hell on Earth
    - This point is dick-ish and arrogant but I don't really want to make a special trek to the 'burbs just for a beer.

Luckily the beauty of Chicagoland is we have so many options that it's OK to not try something and my life will go on.

Everything you stated is reasonable, rational and coherent.

... that kind of thought process has no place in the Chicago beer scene.

Lol. TL;DR- Why are brewers so thoughtless as not to have releases in the comforts of my living room so I don't have to leave my couch?

Even if they did do this, people would still find something to complain about...

There are food trucks, what do we have to do to get beer trucks approved? How cool would that be if your local brewer had a truck full of draft ones offs they sold and they could drive around neighborhoods like an ice cream truck... there would literally be truck chasing...

Before I read your entire post, I was just thinking about them going to different neighborhoods in a large city. That would be a kickass way to promote your beer to encourage people to come to taprooms.

Large cities frequently have several places where food trucks exist. Set up in say 4 different corners of the city - one every friday, or one every other friday, and tell people if they like what they are trying to come visit the taproom.

    Love it.

What song would these trucks play to have us all conditioned to be sprinting outside with our wallets? Also equally intriguing, over/under on how many days (hours?) it would be before the first neck beard altercation occurs as the guy in front of him got the last Chipwich stout and he got stuck with some rocket pop gose bullshit?

If all the brewery releases were like MoRe's then I'd be resigned to that reality. It is what it is and that what I have to deal with.

But we are so fortunate to have so many breweries releasing so many good beers that I'm not going to bother. I'll save yelling at myself for poor life choices like idiotically sitting on the Eisenhower on a beautiful Friday afternoon and idiotically waiting behind 20 people to spend $60 bucks on beer.

Next time MoRe does a tap takeover with a city brewery I'll be there like I was at Corridor's. Otherwise, eh, no thanks.

It's not bullshit if it's mixed frozen in one of those slushy machines.

I grew up in Arlington Heights, moved to city and now reverse commute BACK to NW 'burbs daily for work.

I am TOO familiar with driving to the 'burbs from the city.:sob:
