Very well done. Not overly sweet. Nice coffee flavors and slight roasty bitterness.
Cinnamon comes thru as it warms up. Real easy drinking. Smells like a churro. I like this one. Cheers

 

I’ve had that beer once and it was on tap. I did not see the label comment about a hoppy explosion until you noted it above. Your assessment of the inaccuracy of that statement is accurate.

If I saw that statement it might have stopped me from buying the beer. I am always turned off by a “hoppy kölsch” because the hops are generally new school, almost always overdone, and take away from the style.

Of course, the fact that it was brewed by Von Trapp probably would’ve caused me to buy it anyway.

I think our thought processes are the same here, and if I'm being honest with myself I'd have to say that I made it a lower priority purchase due to that label. Should've just trusted the Von Trapp name from the get-go.
