Good morning BA, have a great Saturday. Going to be a nice but hot weekend over here.

This is amazing. Aromas and flavors of big nutty dark roast coffee, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, toasted oak, and dark/brown bread; with lighter notes of coconut, molasses, licorice, dark fruit, smoke, char, leather, tobacco, and herbal/peppery hops. Light roast/char/herbal bitterness and bourbon/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and medium-full body; very creamy/silky/bready mouthfeel; light slickness, sticky hops, chalky roast/coffee, and oak tannins. Lightly increasing lingering bitter/tannic dryness, never acrid/astringent. Mildly increasing warmth of 8.5%, minimal barrel booze. Amazingly rich and complex; with perfect balance of fruity/nutty coffee, bourbon barrels, and malts. Not overly roasty, letting the coffee really have a strong showing. This is my favorite CW reserve yet. Reminds me of KBS a lot, just a bit lighter on the body.

7/22/2015. This is fantastic! Flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, apricot, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, and pine hops; with balanced caramel, brown sugar, and lightly toasted bread malts; with herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; balanced creamy/slick malts and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Slight resins. Light-moderate increasing lingering bitter/spicy alcohol dryness. No cloying/astringent flavors. Dangerously smooth, minimal warming ABV. Just as outstanding as when I revisited the review a few years ago. More recent batches have been better with age then I remember previously(the first time I had it). The Amarillo/Simcoe hop character is very well retained, and it is not overly sweet/heavy on malt character considering the ABV. I buy this every single year for good reason.

    Carton - IDIPA

Nowhere on the can does it say what IDIPA stands for. A nice and hoppy IPA though.

Stillwater Blown Speakers TIPA. This was fantastic! Aromas and flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, melon, citrus peel/zest, light pepper, and pine hops; with moderate honey, toasted biscuit, light nutty/caramel malt balance; and floral/grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, floral, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; creamy/bready malts and some sticky hops in the mouthfeel; slight resins/rinds. Light-moderate increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Lightly increasing warmth of 10%. Dangerously drinkable, not overly aggressive. So get this: this tastes exactly like Founders Centennial except it's 10%. Awesome juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank Centennial hop complexity; nice bready pale/Munich malt backbone. Not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness. Would get again for sure.

Still tasting insane. Aromas and flavors of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, pecan, fudge, marshmallow, biscuit, toasted dark bread, caramel, toffee, molasses, vanilla, cream, and light smoke/charcoal. Light roast/char and herbal hop bitterness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and very full body; with a very smooth, creamy, silky, velvety, and rich mouthfeel that is amazing. Light slickness, chalky roast, and sticky hops. Lightly increasing dryness from hop/char bitterness; never acrid/astringent. Super smooth, minimal warming 11%. Glad these are in cans now, this meets and even surpasses what I remember when I reviewed it in 2016. Pretty much identical to the one brewed in Europe at the time, but this one is a bit less bitter on the roast. Phenomenal. Hope they make some more soon, Pretty sure I don't have any left.

I don't know why it took so long to get into this band. I love them now. Very similar to Tesseract(which also took me a while to get into). New album next month.

Freud’s model of the psyche. As in Id, Ego, and Superego. There are two other beers in the series called Egoipa and Superegoipa, along with a black IPA called Apiogeretla.

I think this is my last Oct. 2017 FBS:

I spent all day yesterday driving from GA to FL, renting a cargo trailer and loading it in G’ville then unloading it upon arrival last night... And I took a day off from drinking.

Hope to hit our local bottle share today...it’s good to be home; Cheers from St. Pete!

    Good morning, BA.

Enjoying this delicious breakfast beer. I like to drink sweet / dessert beers out of this glass. It make them seem more desserty to me.

The sky is crying once again.

Enjoying some blues from “the new blood.”

My wife comes home tomorrow after about two and a half weeks. That means I will spend most of today attempting to get the house back to the condition in which she left it.

Enjoy your Saturdays, BA, and thank you to @whyteboy003 for this long time want and delicious start to my day.

Another bright Saturday morning on the Front Range...wish I could get outside but I gotta finish up the book proofs and hit "send" today. Side note:... the karma thing is hilarious. Went down 50, then back up 10 (above previous) now my karma is down nearly 200 points. As an agnostic, OK. As a natural/social scientist, the OCD data lover in me is bummed. Oh well. Guess I'll be a cockroach in the next life.

Hazy lighter shade of gold with bumpy white cap.

Aroma of hay (cut and uncut), citrus zest with a touch of herbal earthy.

Taste is mildly tart on entry followed by the herbal hay thing. Citrus is more a presence than a taste with a following bitterness that is still present in the aftertaste. Bone dry throughout.
