On instagram they mentioned 40,000 bottles for this batch. If that's true, they just made a million dollars today.

*Edit - scratch that, it was a random person that said 40k bottles. Seems like they made a lot though.

What? Bottle Logic made $1,,000, 000 today. But wait, aren't we talking top line revenue, not bottom line profit. Do you mean the business increased supple to meet demand. And profit numbers are unclear without knowing expense numbers. But wait, good customers got their bottles, but secondary market profiteers were negatively impacted. Not quite sure what the problem is here,

Looking forward to picking up my bottles.

    Well done Bottle Logic.

No one said there was a problem. Calm down.

I really don’t understand the fixation on bottle count...

People are just curious. This is BeerAdvocate after all.

    I agree. Well done!
I am very curious to know what the higher ups at bottle logic think about it taking longer to sell out of their flagship beer. Are they worried that it signals a ceiling to the demand? Are they worried about hype for their product falling off? Do they intend to scale production back or keep it the same or ramp it up even more?

My hope would be that they are confident in their fantastic product and not worried about hype at all but I admit Im not sure how I would feel if I had the power to make these decisions

If I would have known it was so easy to get, I wouldn't have bought any.

Reminds me of the Yogi Berra quote - no one goes there anymore, it's too crowded.

    I'm completely calm.

Just putting that "made a million dollars today" comment in perspective.

    Cheers

This is just a couch connoisseur talking but I feel the the production growth is a smart move, specifically to give even MORE beer fans a taste of FO (like a gateway drug), so that when the new much larger production facility/tasting room opens up to the public, it will draw an even larger crowd from all over the nation/world.

Agreed. People are acting like the demand for these beers is starting to cap because brewery only tickets didn’t sell out in seconds. Bottle logic could easily double their FO production (even from this years batch size) and still sell every bottle in distribution. Bottle logic is not worried in the slightest about hype boys. The beer speaks for itself and will sell no matter what the production ends up being.

We had a fair idea of what we wanted today to look like, so we went into this year's production with a baseline goal of doubling the duration of last year's 40 minute on-sale. Based on everything I've seen today, it looks like most of the people who were hoping to purchase bottles were able to do so which, to me, really is the highest mark of achievement.

I don't mean to sound overly saccharine, but our singular goal is just to share joy. I know our quick sales can be frustrating and I often worry about how many times someone will attempt a sale and get shut out before they just give up on us. It's been awesome to see people psyched on landing bottles all day instead of fielding six hours of digital disappointment.

We're not in the million-dollar-day ballpark, but we certainly put a dent in the new 30bbl brewhouse payments today. Thanks for the kind words -- we can't wait for y'all to enjoy this batch!

    Keep up the good work!

I know for myself, after being shut out of RFI, I was excited to be able to purchase my first bottles of FO without hassle. I think most people around here are happy to have access to great local beer.

Since production seems to be ramping up, what are the odds that proxies are finally allowed for purchases? Love BL beers but can be a pain to get sometimes.

Oh man, I bought my full allocation and WOL bottle, along with my girlfriend going all out too, just so we can sit back and watch the salt fly on Instagram.

Now I need to return my bottles, too many people are happy.

....I kid. Don't take away my bottles.

Mule creativity should be excellent for this release.

I get that their loyalty is to you local people which is cool but trading for it can be a pain sometimes and I don't see them doing distro to Upstate NY anytime soon. Haha. Either way, cool to see the release last for upwards of 2 hours yesterday.

This was my first FO release, wasn't big into the online sales until DSN last christmas. I went a little crazy but I plan to drink every single one of my bottles. Cheers BL!
