FT: Side Project Merci ISO: FOb4

Merci is more of an “extra” in a trade. Usually doesn't go toe to toe with FO or ever really.

 

Merci b3 was $30 - hell of an extra. Don’t have a prob with your statement other than that.

 

I need to find those traders that give merci as a "extra". I would think it would go 1:1 easily.

 

I’ve gotten one for free before myself. If I had another Merci I would give it as an extra.

Honestly I would give an FO as an extra to one of my usual trade partners.

But in the realms of trading Merci in MY opinion does not match up with FO...not even close.

Sounds to me like your "extra" examples are outlier events, not standard practice. Fine either way - if you're generous, that's awesome. I just don't think that a general, non-reg trade would include Merci or FO as an extra for most traders. Maybe I'm a cheap ass.

 

Merci is amazing and can definitely go 1:1 with FO4 especially with the amount there is out their available.

 

I don’t agree. FO will still be harder to land with a Merci. Merci can easily be obtained with an FO b4 . Even though there’s more on this batch. It’s not like it’s seeing nation wide distro or even all of Cali..it will see a few So Cal locations.

That’s a shame you feel that way. I guess I’m a special guy because almost all my trades have had some generous extras...it’s the spirit of (old money). It’s a cool feeling when your trade partner is exstatic he got his first BT or bottle logic as an extra without knowing it was coming.
I know I’ve recieved FO b1 as an extra ... Hill farmstead BG&E b1.....Mocha Wednesday .... Loons RdG..... just recently got a Johnny Walker Blue Label.
