I am surprised no one has mentioned the Sweet Disposition release yet.

Sounds amazing of course, and ticks all the right boxes for an insane crowd/line. Middle of August and noon release though? Gonna be hot as balls... Any chance of moving the release time a bit earlier (like two years ago for Vanilla/Coconut Medianoche) @Tarheel4985 ?

 

I plan on being there at midnight on the 17th with all my bois

 

Just moved to Denver and planning on going for this release. How crazy are weldwerks bottle releases usually? Can I get to weldwerks at 12 and still get bottles or does it sell out before opening?

I don't doubt it. But will it sell out that fast? There are always people willing to wait in line that early but where I'm from that only leads to an instant sell out 50% of the time.

WW posted that they have 1000+ bottles but that it still wouldn’t be enough so take that how you will.

 

Sorry, no early opening this time. But we're hopeful the weather will be cooperative.

 

I tried the imperial Brut IPA on draft. WW version was OK, but I'm not a big fan of the style in general. I kind of wonder if some of the rise of this style is breweries trying to get ahead of the hype curve of what they perceive to be the next big thing. I remember hearing about this "new style" last year and shaking my head.

But in other news, Not so Hawaii(an) Punch was amazing. Wow.

 

At 1000+ bottles with a 2 per limit, you'd think there's no reason to show up super early. That's 500+ allotments. But beer is so fucked nowadays. So who knows.

 

Ya gotta roll deep with people who don’t mind hanging out and then just get their allotment!

 

I already posted on craigslist for mules. 20 bucks per extra bottle.

 

It's all fun and games until this actually happens (and I'm sure it will)

 

For secondary/hype reference, someone on DBT offered up $250 for 2 bottles and the deal is done. I would also think 500+ allotments would be plenty where you wouldn’t have to show up super early but I think a lot of people may want to get in the taproom early as they will have “limited” bottles for on site consumption.

I think the ceiling on this one is closer to $400 for both bottles - throw in a 4-pack of juicy bits.

 

Fuck, if someone offered me $400 for those 2 bottles I wouldn’t think twice. Sold!
