No clue, but I'd be extremely surprised if they don't get cans and/or kegs of their own collab beer.

I’m trying to picture some of the dudes who frequent these Hudson’s Valley NYC events at Death and Company on a Friday night.

According to Memory Level in the IG comments, "it will be available in cans, along with a bunch of other cool stuff," at the Death and Co event.

I only go to HVB on like Thursdays and Sundays but I'll be driving by tomorrow around 730pm - with my six month old. Anybody care to conjecture about whether cans will be left at that point and if there's any chance of a quick in/out? Even for crowlers?

I'd say there's a decent chance there would be cans left, since with the last Saturday release there were still cans left 3 hours later, and this will be 2.5 hours later on a Friday release. Crowlers always seem to sell out quickly with the releases though.

If anyone picked up Demiurge let us know how it is! Early reviews are very positive.

had a taste of demiurge and its kinda hard to call this beer anymore. its more of a concoction. it was more like every favorite candy i had as a kid rolled into a juice. mind blowing. i just spoke but im speechless.

I think you’re saying it’s very good. But not totally sure.

I really wish I didn't read any of the initial reviews of Demiurge. I was able to secure a 4-pack but now I feel like there's no way reality is going to meet expectations.

You think when @dhaakon said it distilled every childhood memory into a mouthful of beer, that he set expectations too high?

to be fair i said every candy. but now i think its more rainbow fruit by the foot+hawaiian punch+S cookies. someone on untappd said they could just smell the glass all day and i agree.

I kinda feel that way about all of the HVB Sour IPAs I've had, they don't really taste beer-y. Inflorescence tastes like vanilla ice cream to me. I kinda want to try a TH Vanilla shake now cause I don't think it will be on the same level as that beer.

I was able to hit these guys up last Saturday on a bit of a whim. 'hey you're open Saturday. I'll drive by'. I'm vaguely in the area about once a year so it lines up once in awhile.

Heard some great things. And didn't want to look into releases or what was on tap. I just went for it.

I just got back but had been in the area for about a week. The 'beer' they brewed was probably the most memorable from my trip. But maybe because it's so different. Almost unlike beer. Th as well. I can throw in two other semi hyped places that just aren't doing stuff like traditionally carbonated fizz.

What's making their releases hyped? Ingredients? Who it's collabed with? Limited quantities?

They had been open only an hour but it wasn't overpowering with a crowd. Maybe 10-20 deep through the hour I was there. No a/c or Fans made the summer experience swampy.

Beers though, we got pours of about 6. They were pretty spot on with their tasting notes. Not sure what I had was considered to be the norm for them or not. Walked with a graven image crowler, entheogen, and a sixer of incadenza. Mind sort of blown with one of their vanilla sours.

    Overall.
More tart than funky. No real sign of vinegar or cheese. I know sours have quite the range. They've hit quite the flavor palate though. Never thought these combos would work.

I say forget the lines and hyped releases and go for the core products at regular times. There's only so much you can do with lactose, raw wheat, and fruits to make it that much more hyped or 'better'

Who else is going to the Death and Co event tomorrow? Wondering if it'll get packed quickly.

Given the size of the space and the nature of these events, I'd imagine so. I think its pretty funny they're doing the event before business hours.

Need to get the Hazelords out before their actual clientele comes in. I'm kinda tempted by this event since I've tried several times to get in to Death and Co. and the wait is always absurd.
