I wasn't suggesting otherwise. I was just throwing out another instance of someone not liking fruit flavors in beer and pointing out that those flavors aren't limited to NEIPA.

I was agreeing with you, or perhaps should say with him.

I'd say it's best practices in 2018 to assume most mistakes of that sort are due to smartphone (perhaps a misnomer in this case) autocorrect, as likely was the case here (I just tested typing "role," and my phone "corrected" it to "roll" again), but good catch regardless, and I should've picked up on that error during my re-read before posting.

Added: I once posted a correction to a guy who kept writing "crawlers" in place of "crowlers." Inevitably, my post itself contained the same mistake. I deleted my post under the revised assumption that he too had correctly typed "crowlers" and was foiled* by autocorrect technology.

    * originally autocorrected to "fooled"

    ...or BBQ chicken on pizza.
What's a good beer pairing for either of those? None. Better off tossing the pizza and pairing the beer with more beers until the thought leaves your mind.

Not sure but probably said before
60 days old is okay for (almost all) IPAs

I feel like you must be talking about Pittsburgh. I'm a member in a few of said groups and its painful to read through the lack of diversity and straight up immaturity of the 'hazebro' community.

Isn't that just human nature to replicate that what we crave (in any endeavor)? Thinking the Hazebro State is a necessary part of the evolution. Don't worry they won't bite.

For real. I was just talking with my roommate about how annoying it is that beer nerds/Instagram geeks only care about double/triple dry-hopped "hazy/juicy" NEIPAs anymore--barrel aged and flavored stouts, too. What happened to appreciating a simple pilsner? Or hefeweizen? More concerningly, whatever happened to fascination with Belgian styles? Tripels and quads are still some of the best beers I've ever had, and I see NO ONE raving about them on Instagram.

Or 90 days. I've had some IPAs still taste decent even at 120 days old. #teamoldipas :sunglasses:

Can’t speak for him, but what would annoy me about it is the same kinds thing that would annoy me if NBS became simply the Sunday edition of WBAYDN but with only pictures and no comments, or if there were no WBAYDN thread and instead we had an ongoing stream of dozens and dozens of people each starting their own new personal thread to ask that question and show off a beer picture. A single name for it might be “boredom.”

I just think it's sad that lagers, Belgian styles, and simple styles like cream ale and wheat ales often get overlooked and ignored, simply because they aren't what's trendy or popular right now.

    A couple more:

    The Bruery sucks
    Mikkeller sucks
    Evil Twin sucks
    Lagunitas is our friend
    Barrel aged sours have plateaued
San Diego is no longer at the vanguard of beer
Hill Farmstead still has no par.
Label aesthetics are often good indicators of beer quality (Homage, Other Half...)
    Triple IPAs are silly
Pliny the Younger is thus also silly
Save a select few (Sante, Monkish, Fieldwork, Alvarado...) California doesn't have good NEIPAs.
    English beer is incredibly boring

A beer that sells for $20 for a 4-pack of cans isn't necessarily twice as good as one that sells for $10.

Huh, you don't live that far from me. Or maybe you do lol.

I can get all those things better, more variety in them, fresher, and more easily than ever. Especially simple lagers. I would say there are ten times as many simple lagers avail. here now as ever before, in five times as many different styles as ever before. Not true by you?

Well, maybe not cream ale, but was that ever more of a thing than it is now?
Maybe I really need to worry more about that fictional future. I'll get on that. Tomorrow.
