Other Half (August 2018)

I thought it was tussin as well. People on untapped we're giving it really good reviews so I thought I was missing out on something. The bottle did get more drinkable as time went on, but I'm not sure if that's because of it warming up or the alcohol content dulling taste.

 

Finally... the simcoe daydream emerges. Personally I'm more psyched for the ANE.

speaking of Nelson, what even happened to the clever can stamps on the bottom? nothing but dates now. The last Nelson single-hop from last year had the most perfect "Ha Ha!" on it.

 

That 570nm v easily strolled into my 'top Imperial/DIPA beers released in 2018' list. Wish OH would use that Vermont yeast more often.

 

Actually thought it was awful...I'll stick to Threes for pilsners...

 

just remember the higher the untappd rating -> the better trade value.

that's why you'll see a bunch of 5 star reviews within 2 hours of a release dropping - for any major tradebait brewery.

 

Got caught in that fierce wind and rain storm on my way over to Other Half Saturday morning. I was completely soaked and not in a good mood. I saw a few chairs but it had to be one of the smallest lines ever. I walked towards the garage and whoever was in line were now participating in a bottle share in the warehouse on that wooden table in front of the registers. I opened my bag and pulled out a Master of Karate with a big smile on my face. It was then announced that they would open at 9. Further evidence that Other Half loves their customers.

 

they show love, but deep down they really hate us. they're a little passive aggressive about it sometimes... like, here..you're soaking wet...come on in early and dry yourself off with our state of the art hand dryers.

Damn, I hadn’t had my interest piqued by any of the IPA released in like a month, but All Nelson and that DDH Mosaic combo have my attention. Going by this weekend most certainly.
