Arrived in Los Angeles and quickly indulged in a Wolf Pup IPA by local brewer Golden Road. A very good beer.

 

Family wedding to attend today, Since I have all day, might as well do some beer drinking,

 

A nice surprise - one of Stone's better offerings this year. Very clean and crisp with a lot of pure hop flavor.

 

The juice is loose here ba. Nice batch as is the norm,

Kane Head High Batch 1000 at Uno.

From the brewery: “Batch 1000 was brewed with a similar malt bill but we replaced about 25% of the base pilsner and wheat with rye. The rye addition adds a noticeable spiciness on the back-end and dry finish to the beer similar to Rye Head High we made years ago. We hopped it with Cascade, Centennial, Citra and Chinook, all hops we use throughout the process on Head High but added a significant amount of Galaxy to the dry hop schedule to replicate the double dry hopped variant we made from time to time.“

It is fantastic. Taking home a crowler for sure.

Castelain Fleur de Houblon. My first taste from this brewery from northern France that's already around since 1926.

The hops (Cascade, Magnum and Challenger) in this beer are very aromatic and give it a nice floral bitterness. It's an IPA (at least it says so on the label), but not as we know it. I like it. Also rather high quality ingredients are being used at this brewery I guess.

And I really like to try their Bière de garde as soon as I have the change.
