Late lunch beer after spending most of the day at the beach. This collab between Two Roads and Lawson isn't bad but I'm not a big fan of "Farmhouse IPAs." I'd rather have a really good Saison or a really good IPA. To me, these hybrids are neither.

I haven’t usually downed several beers on a Saturday in quite a while but a friend is giving us tickets to a concert later, so due to the genre (country) I’ve got to begin the process of getting in the kind of mood where I’ll enjoy just about anything. Hence, begin drinking.

And a little music from the type of concert I typically prefer

Agreed! This beer far exceeded my expectations. My review for it is sitting at a +15.3% rDev :beer: Very surprising to me that people aren't more into it.

Forgot to take a pic of this when I poured it, but I'm currently drinking a glass of Rhinegeist's new Wowie, an "ale with pineapple and passionfruit." This is a weird one, because it has the Cidergeist logo on it, but the brewery insists it's an ale. Probably a hybrid but it's definitely more on the cider end of the spectrum. Here my review!

@TheGent, @ElGabRyan got me one of those toys that you love. This is the first time that I have had this beer, but since I am a proud BA, this is not the first time that I have experienced a quality hopjob.

I am grilling antelope sausage (the kids shot the antelope) and drinking Skeleton Key an Imperial Stout from Lazy Magnolia, Kiln, Mississippi, ABV 9.50%. It is brewed with bourbon barrel oak chips. The flavor is roasted malts, chocolate, a hint of bourbon, not boozy at all, relatively mild flavor and a bit watery but that is actually nice in the Texas heat. For a southern Imperial stout this is darn good.
