Oh, cracked open an RFI last night. Man, that cinnamon is way up front and center.

    Delicious as hell though.

My palate is not like y’alls, while I liked FOMO, it was the 3rd or 4th ranked of the 5 FO beers. All I taste is coffee, which isn’t a bad thing, but ground state or red eye are just as good, maybe this is why FS isn’t anything special to me.
The FOCO was amazing and what ST should be, because I actually got coconut flavor. I also enjoyed FO more than my last batch 3. I also don’t get the bad hazelnut reviews, it’s one of the few hazelnut beers that actually had hazelnut flavor. The maple was also good.

@bottlelogiclindsay Is Leche Borracho b2 still a go? I saw it on the brewing board late last year, but noticed there wasn't a preview at WoL this year (for that matter, I think I saw Reaction State on the board at one point too, but could be wrong). I know the year previous there were problems sourcing tequila barrels. Would love to hear something about it because this is by far my favorite BA stout that you guys have done.

You might be thinking of Leche Reserva. Leche Borracho was not at WoL.

Leche reserva was amazing imo. Really hope that’s bottled one day

They said that one was a one off keg for WoL. Maybe they’ll do it again when LB is re-brewed.

Hopefully, I thought it was one of the stars of WoL

Leche Reserva was my favorite offering during WOL. I kept going back to it and I hope that they bottle this!

Thanks for the love! I'm happy to report that we secured another round of those specific tequila barrels [they held red wine before tequila] a while back and Leche Borracho B2 is currently aging for a future release.

Leche Reserva was the small-yield result of a few tequila barrels we elected to leave out of the Leche Borracho blend. [We filled more tequila barrels than bourbon barrels and ended up preferring a more balanced blend of the two spirits.] They ended up aging for an additional two-ish years before their feature at WOL 2018.

@Frosty11161 pointed it out to me that these are b2 & b3. Trade Value on these bad boys are still great unlike b4.

They're just reusing an old picture, the bottles for sale are b4. I like that you base your purchasing strategy on trade value, though, drinking beer is for fools.

@bottlelogiclindsay my fiancè would like to know if there's anything she can do (bribes, CO beers, etc) to ensure that puppy is in the taproom when we visit next month. TIA.

There's a difference between "I trade beer!" and "I imply that it's only worth picking up FOb2 and FOb3 because FOb4 doesn't have enough trade value!".

All I said is that FOb4 doesn't have the same trade value as the others but take it as you like. I also picked up FOb4 even tho the Trade Value isn't good as the others & guess what!? I'm going to drink it. Does that make you feel better!?:joy:
